A great way to be prepared. – BHBody’s Keychain USB Rechargeable Mini Necklace LED Flashlight.

My family is big into being prepared. It amazes me how many people do not have the basic items in their home, that can help them and their families in an emergency. From my past experience as a nurse, and in life in general, I can say that a lot of emergencies involve the lights going out, or occurring at night. I believe that you should have at least one flashlight per person, in your home, and extras for company, or flashlight failure. We have several different types per person, in our home. This particular flashlight necklace from BHBody is so unique. I love how it has entered the preparedness arena. People wear neck knives, and tools, and now we can add a stunning looking necklace flashlight. My guys love the look. I, as a female, absolutely love the look. It is a great size at 1 ¾”, it’s an easy size to wear. The chain and flashlight are made out of titanium alloy materials. I think the chain is stainless, but I’m not positive. The chain is a 26” chain, and slips right over my head. That is my personal measurement. So, there’s a great chance you won’t have to undo it to put it on and off. That is highly convenient. The length of the chain, also allows you to use the light, without removing it from your neck. Obviously, that won’t be convenient for everything, but it’s a great option. This is a twist on light to, which is quick and silent, in case you need to be silent. Just twist it clockwise to turn it on, and counter clockwise to turn it off. When the light starts to get weak, just plug it into your micro USB, and let it be. It will not overcharge, and there is an LED light that goes from red to green, once it’s fully charged. It took about 30 minutes for my light to charge. You need to supply your own micro USB. Now, the charging port is located under the top of the flashlight. Unscrew it like you are turning it off, but keep on turning until it comes off completely. You will see the micro USB port on the side of the light. This is pretty bright for a tiny light. It puts off 130 lumens of a bright, white light. I love LEDs. They are so much more user friendly. No poisonous chemicals to deal with. They do not break easily when you drop the light, and they last soooo much longer than regular bulbs as well. This LED is a CREE-XP-G2 LED, and is rated for up to 50,000 hours. No matter how many times I see a lifespan of a LED, it always impresses me. I am a bit of a LED nut, lol. What I also find impressive, is that this tiny light is also a dual mode light. It actually has low and high. High is the 130 lumens. When you start to turn the cap to turn it on, it will first reach low mode, and when you keep turning, you will reach the high mode. You can’t miss it. It has an IPX8 waterproof rating, which means that it is water resistant up to 2M, and has an impact resistance rating of 1.5m. So, this means you can use this light in the rain, and if you drop it from standing, it will be fine and dandy. The internal rechargeable battery is an 10180 Li battery. They state that you can change out the battery when it finally goes. The LED will last longer than the battery. I have dropped the light and ran the light under the faucet. I have had no issues with it. I absolutely love it. It would make a great gift, as it even comes in a fancy gift box, that looks just like a jewelry gift box. You do have the option of putting it on your key ring as well, so it’s not stuck as a necklace only. It’s quite the handy and usable flashlight. I really love it.

The perfect way to laptop, tablet, and Phone. – DBroths’ Ivation Multi-Angle Folding Laptop & Tablet Stand Ventilated Adjustable-Ergonomic Desk.

This is really an interesting piece. It is not only a lap desk, but it is also a tablet and phone stand. It has a built in power bank, and comes with a detachable LED light. So, if you are using this to be lazy, lol, you can be lazy for longer, since you don’t have to get up to charge your phone. This desk has an internal 13,200mAh battery. That is a lot of backup power. You can charge 2 tablets and 2 phones fully on this thing. It’s not the fastest charging device, but it is right on track with the other power banks that we have. I went from 73% to 100% charge on my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in approx. 45 minutes. The power bank section did not get hot to the touch while charging either. There are 4 little blue LED lights that go on while you are charging. The 4 lights mean it has a full charge. 3 lights mean 75% battery. 2 lights mean 50% battery. 1 light means 25% battery. It’s a great visual to see where you are at. The include the cord to charge the power bank. It is a micro USB cord, which is easy to replace if you lose or break it. Cords do not last forever. I like how they include an LED light with this stand as well. Makes it easy to read with. It’s a long slender light, and can be a little top heavy. It sits just fine in place, when you take the time to position it. It runs off an USB. This table has 2 USB ports on it to charge from and use. So, you will still have an open USB port while using the light. The table folds down to 11 ¼” x 12 5/8”. When closed up like this it is only 2” wide at its widest point, which is pretty impressive. It will easily fit in your backpack, which is very convenient. The stand opens easily. It doesn’t have any locks to open, just pull to separate, and it opens up. Then, just pull up the legs to open it as a stand. Go toward the center crease, and pull open from that side of the legs. Now, place on a solid surface. This is where you will notice the only con of this set up. There is no lock to keep it open. It will fold in half easily, lol. If you need to carry it open, just carry it with a hand on each end, to keep it open. No that you have it open, it can be used in so many ways. You can use it for your laptop, serving tray, whatever you need. Built in are two stands that can accommodate books, tablets, and your all needed smart phone. The two USB ports are located on the top surface. The way that this stand closes leaves the power bank accessible for charging and use, which is awesome. My stand has been performing really well. I haven’t had any technical issues. It arrived in perfect condition with no imperfections. I have really good luck with Ivation products, and this stand has not let me or my expectations down.

A formidable opponent in the tumbler industry. – Greatness Lines’ 30 oz. Tumblers Value Pack.

Here is another cup that has entered the Stainless tumbler arena. I like how strong it came out to the market. It arrived with all the bells and whistles. I have the original 30oz Yeti Tumbler, and I love it. We also have quite a few of the competitors now, lol. Let me tell you, I compare them all to the Yeti, and against each other. I am very picky now, and demand that my ice not melt quickly. I always have a glass filled to the top with ice, and then I add my drink. With my constant anaphylactic reactions, I always have a swollen and raw throat. An icy drink all day, and I mean 24/7, really helps. So, I do not hold back if the cup doesn’t live up to my expectations. I am very, very happy to say, that this cup does indeed, keep my ice, ice, for a long time. I can take my cup, fill it with ice to the top, pour in room temperature soda, and then sip on it, like I usually do. When I go to refill it, I only have to add a couple cubes to keep it filled to the top with ice, lol. The cup measures out at 4” in diameter, at the top, and 8” tall to the top of the lid. It is just slightly more narrow at the top than my Yeti. I have a black carry handle, and it fits this tumbler by Greatness Line, but it just fits. It slides up to almost the top of the cup. But, the accessory is still quite usable and I am using it. Leaving my cup sit over night with ice and water, I still had a lot of ice left in the cup in the morning. It really works like my Yeti, so I am very happy with it. It’s made well. The tops seal very well. I love the straw and extra top that come with the cup. The stainless steel straw is thick and durable and long enough to really fit the cup. The diameter is large enough too, for a smoothie. The You can never really feel the temp of the drink inside of it, when holding it. It is always a comfortable temperature to hold. It is made out of 18/8 stainless steel. It will fit into my cup holders in my Honda. I’m sure due to the size, it might not fit into some. I have large cup holders in mine, fortunately. I really like everything about this complete set. You really can’t beat the price it’s at. Currently it’s at $19.95 for everything, which is great. It’s a formidable opponent in the tumbler arena.

Green with Envy? – Simple Modern Vacuum Insulated 20oz Cruiser Tumbler with Lid.

We have entered the age of the stainless steel tumbler, lol. They are popping up everywhere and from anyone, it seems. I love that too! These cups are amazing, amazing, amazing. We all use them daily in my household. They truly keep the cold drinks colder, longer, and the hot drinks, hotter, longer. I only have boring silver in my home though. So, I was beyond excited to be able to review this awesome bright green 20oz tumbler from Simply Modern on Amazon. I ordered the Candy Apple Green, but they do have it available in plain stainless steel, and 7 other powder coated colors. The finish of my green color is vivid, and smooth to the touch. So far so good with durability. The tumbler is constructed out of the 18/8 Stainless Steel I am used to seeing with these type of tumblers. The top does create a very tight seal, which is important for the insulation factor. It has the small mouth opening that I am also accustomed to. My thin stainless steel straws fit into it perfectly. My guys use this size all the time. They work on the road as commercial electricians, and depend on quality cups to carry their drinks. This size is great for cars. It fits into our cup holders without issue. The construction of this cup is the double walled construction, with a vacuum seal in between. That is what makes for the great insulation effects. I love that no matter what the temperature of the drink inside of the cup, the outside of the cup is never uncomfortable to touch and hold. Steamy hot drinks, no problem. Icy cold drinks, you can’t even tell. We do have the 20oz Yeti cup to compare this cup to, and it performs just as well! This cup is dishwasher safe, but I always hand wash everything, anyhow. Everyone always says, is the cup leakproof. Well, no, duh, lol. There is a whole in the lid. That always cracks me up. The seal itself is fantastic, and we have no leaing from around the seal. Fortunately, the drinking hole is small, and down from the edge. With regular walking, your fine and dandy. If you bend over to pick something up, and your cup is in your hand, it will leak out, lol. Yes, I have done that, and more than once too. We really love the bright green color. We call it Zombie Green, haha. It’s easy to spot, so hopefully, you won’t leave it on top of your car, or behind on your outing. You’ll be able to tell if a family member or coworker tries to claim it as theirs. We absolutely love it, and have no complaints. It’s a formidable challenger on the Stainless Steel Tumbler market.

Formaldehyde, silent and dangerous! – TONOR Portable Formaldehyde Detector.

I have insane allergies, to the point that they are life threatening. I have always wondered about how I could detect formaldehyde and other chemicals. I have asthma attacks and anaphylactic reactions to chemicals put in materials, and clothing, etc.. This machine can only detect formaldehyde, but nonetheless, I was very excited to be able to test one out. We, as a family, went out on the town and tested this at mattress stores, furniture stores, and our local Lowes home improvement store. I also tested air outside by busy streets. Before testing out this machine, I did a lot of research, and studied many a government page. There is a lot of information, and not surprising, some contradictory information on these sites. One thing that is known, is that it is a carcinogenic chemical. It’s important to test your air, and know what your body is breathing in, and absorbing. This machine is pretty easy to read. You can choose between mg, and ppm, as your reading. I did parts per million. That’s what the charts on the OSHA and other government sites used. You can find formaldehyde everywhere which is scary. Exhaust from cars will put out formaldehyde. They use it in a lot of building materials, and furniture, especially foam. RVs and mobile homes can also be hotbeds for formaldehyde. FEMA recently was sued for the high formaldehyde counts in their trailers. You can never get rid of the formaldehyde in your home, it’s everywhere, but if you know the count, you can lower it with proper ventilation, and changing items out. Higher counts can cause asthma, sinus infections, eye and ear irritation, cancer, allergic reactions, and more. If you are pregnant, and or, have little ones in the home, they are even more susceptible. This reader is very simple to operate. The instruction pamphlet is just that, a pamphlet. It is pretty easy to follow. I tuned the audible alarm off, and left the vibration on. I didn’t want to freak people out. You can set the high and low alarm parameters as well. They come preset as 0.1 as the low, and 0.3 as the high, and I left them there. I sis read in my research that OSHA will only allow workers to work in an environment with a reading of 0.75, for only 8 hours at a time. One of the furniture stores I went into had very high readings, of up to around 0.936ppm. That is very high. We had been talking to a salesman for a while, when I finally brought it to his attention. He said they recently had construction work done on the building, and one coworker became ill. He was very concerned. I actually emailed him the photo of the reading, and he said he was going to contact OSHA. Only you can protect yourself, so it’s important to know what the environment you are in is really like. Believe it or not, they even “size” material in formaldehyde, and other harmful chemicals. If your clothing, or leather item, you just bought has an odor to it, more than likely it’s the chemicals your clothing was processed with. Some clothing shuts my throat just by being too close it, and especially by touching it.

There are only 5 buttons on the machine, and they are clearly labeled. The main button is the power button, which is the center button. When you press it , hold it for a second, and you wil hear a beep. The screen will pop on, and count down from 10. Then you will notice the reading pop up. At the bottom right, of the reading, you will notice the air temperature reading. It comes on in Celsius, but you can switch it to Fahrenheit by pressing the right arrow button once. You will also see the battery reading. This requires 3 AA batteries to operate. They are not included, and no tool is needed to access the battery compartment, which is located on the back of the unit. If you do quick press of the power button, it will bring you to a menu screen, where you can choose to change the settings for the high and low, or alarm on or off, as well as an auto off. Mine powers off at 30 minutes. You press the up and down arrows to scroll through the list. The first list is only two items. Bring it down to alarm, and then press the right arrow button. That will take you to the list to choose alarm options. To get back to the main screen, just press the button on the left once. The “autooff” section is where you would go to choose your preferred time for the auto off. If you had a small tripod, you could attach it to the back of the unit, to have it freestanding in an area. This is good if you want to walk around the room, and hit items, to create more airflow, and still being able to read the unit. For example, when we hit the mattresses, the formaldehyde reading would go up. You need to create a flow of the item in the air. You will also notice that when the air system comes on in the room, your reading just may go up as well. I find this machine very easy to operate, fascinating, and highly helpful.

Stands up to the competition. – Buy Chiefs’ 20oz Stainless Steel Tumbler with 4 Straws Bundle.

My family and I all use these new double walled stainless steel cups. I would feel bad about not using my Tervis cups, but these cups really help keep my cold drinks cold, longer, and our hot coffee drinks, hotter, longer. You really can’t lose with these. This is another brand (Chief) that has entered the competition among the stainless cup industry, lol. It is a 20oz stainless steel insulated cup, with a lid. The lid is just like the lid on our 20oz Yeti that we have. The seal is nice and tight, and holds very well. There is that usual small opening to drink out of. I like that they included the stainless steel straw that will fit into this cup. They actually include a set of 4 stainless steel straws, and 1 straw cleaning brush. This is definitely the eco-friendlier way to go over disposable straws. I have been using a stainless steel straw and cup for a very long time now, and I do not ever taste a flavor difference with the metal. This tumbler has been able to hold its’ own amongst its competitors that we own. I always have an ice cold drink with me, even bedside, so it’s important that my ice last as long as it can. If you just place ice in here, you will have some ice left in it the next day. My throat is always swollen due to frequent anaphylactic reactions, so this is a must have feature for me. I think that’s pretty wild that ice will last so long in this cup; I love that. This cup will not leach chemicals into your drink either. It is obviously BPA free. It will not shatter or crack on you, if you drop it. Your hands will not get cold or hot when holding this either, due to its’ great insulation. Since stainless steel doesn’t rust, you will not have to worry about your cup not lasting for you. We use a Keurig to make our coffee. This will not fit, but if you brew a large cup of coffee, that will fit in here perfectly, and allow enough room for milk. So, the large cup setting is a perfect match for this cup, if you add milk to your coffee. If you drink it black, it still fits, and there will be some room left over in it. Another great to go benefit, is that it will fit into your car cup holders well. It fits into all of my cup holders. This is another must have feature for us as well. This has held up to our testing, and our must haves. They even have it available in the 30oz size as well. It’s a welcomed addition to the stainless tumbler market.

Still fits your cup holders. – GLO Handle For 30 Oz YETI Rambler and more.

Ironically, I recently had the chance to review a handle for my 30oz Yeti tumbler. When this one from Grab Life Outdoors on Amazon, came up, I was highly intrigued, and highly skeptical. This handle has no bottom support for the handle itself. I thought, no way is this going to work well. No way would it not be bendy. Well, let me tell you what, this handle proved me wrong 100%. Kudos to the handle. This is one tough and ridged handle. It has not even flexed on me. They made this tumbler handle out of BPA free, food grade Nylon. I do have kitchen cooking tools made out of that material as well. And they really have held up. So, I am very familiar with it. This handle is easy to clean and keep clean. It really doesn’t show any fingerprints. It stays a consistent temperature and has always been comfortable to hold and use. It’s easy to grasp onto as well. You do not need a large hand to hold onto it comfortable. On the flip side, a larger man’s hand still has a comfortable grip on it as well. What I really like about this style of tumbler handle, is that I can still use it on the go in my car’s cup holders. They are pretty deep, and the double wrap around style handle needs to come off before placing my cup in the cup holder. If you have strength issues and already struggle with the 30oz Yeti when it’s full, this handle does add a little bit of weight to it. In case that is a concern for you. On the upside of that, the grip on the actual cup is easier with the handle on it, so that may make this still beneficial for you. I love how durable it is. Once you slide it onto your cup, and lift your cup up with it, it really holds in place well. It does not slide down at all. I always fill my cup to the top with ice, and then add my beverage. So, even fully weighted with liquid and ice, the handle stands true. You can run it through the dishwasher, however, I hand wash everything anyhow. I am very comfortable recommending this product. It’s a great benefit to the cup.

Just hanging around. – Primode’s Motorized Tie Rack With LED Lights.

I love these tie organizers. I have been married for years, and ties are always an issue to store. They are delicate, and need to be hung, or properly rolled and stored perfectly. This is such an ingenious way to store many ties in a tight area. I do not live in a mansion, and storage is always an issue. And, not only can you store up to 50 ties on this rack, but it will also hold belts. So perfect for any man, and woman, if you own a lot of belts. This electric tie rack measures out at 12” long x 6 ¼” wide, and 4 ½” thick. So, not a bad size at all. It runs off of 4 C batteries, and unfortunately, they are not included. I didn’t have them handy before my tie rack arrived: insert pout here. That was my fault. It states that in their add, lol. So, be ready, or be ready to pout. It’s actually pretty sleek and modern looking. It will not uglify your closet. I love that it has LED lighting on it. The lighting is on the entire front side of the rack. It is LED lighting, and does not heat up the unit. This unit only uses 5W of power too. The light really lets you know which tie you are picking out. For example, when you have 10 blue ties, lol. It has a great diffuser over the light, and won’t hurt your eyes as well. This rack fits on a closet rod, and has a clamp that tightens to secure it on the rod. If you don’t have a rod in your closet, see if you can add one, to be able to use this rack. The clamp screws up into the middle of the underside of the unit. There are three buttons on the front of the unit. A center power button, and a left and right button, to move and rotate the rack. It’s very simple to use. You press the arrow buttons to turn it on. You can press the power button to stop it from moving, and then to turn it off when you are done with it. It’s very easy to install as well. There is a black panel on the top of it. It comes off so you can place it on the pole, then just reattach it, and screw in the tightening knob underneath it. That’s all you need to do to attach it. I was happily surprised by how quiet it was. I thought it was going to be a lot louder than it actually is. My husband was actually surprised by the speed of it. Of course, when full of items, it does slow down some. This is definitely a much better to store my son’s ties. It really is a great tool for your closet.

A quick and easy way to polish your leather. – Sunshower-US’ Electric Shoe Polisher Leather Sofa Brush.

Let me tell you, my husband loves to polish his shoes. He finds it relaxing. He was also very happy to see this shoe polisher, when it arrived. With the cost of real leather shoes nowadays, you really need to take care of them too. It’s pretty wild having an electric shoe polisher. Before, it was all up to your muscle. It takes longer to do it by hand as well. This particular shoe polisher comes with 1 battery, a battery charging station, and 3 heads. The heads include the Shoe Oil Brush, the Polish Brush, and the Microfiber Brush. You need to use them in that order, as well. The battery drops into the handle easily. Then you just push the battery cover back on, and you are ready to go. This entire unit is rubber coated, so it has a great grip. There is one button inside of the handle, which is both the on and off button. It has the one speed only. The head attachments just push on, and pull off. So, these are also easy to change out and use. The only thing you need to supply is the polishing oil/conditioner. It is a noisy machine, but it has decent power to it. Definitely enough to polish shoes and boots. There is not a lot of hand vibration, in case that is any issue for you. The surface coverage is pretty large too. The heads measure in size from 2 ¾” to 3” in size. Not too shabby, if you ask me. You can use these on anything leather, really. You can use this brush to polish and condition your car seats, couch, chair, and more. It is so quick and easy to use. It makes doing a quick but effective polish a breeze.

Fresh coffee when you want it. – YINGMO’s French Press 3 Cup 12oz Coffee, Espresso & Tea Maker.

I am pretty fond of the French Press. They really do enable you to have fresh brewed coffee, and so quickly too. This particular one from Yingmo is a great personal French Press. If you are single, or are the only one that really drinks coffee, this is great for you. My guys work on the road a lot, and a French press can be carried with you. You just need a microwave or hot pot, to heat up your water. This particular press is a 12oz press. It’s great for a single person that enjoys a large cup of coffee. Everyone in my household sure does. This unit is made out of 18/8 Stainless Steel, Plastic, and Borosilicate glass. This is the type of glass used for beakers, and much more. It can tolerate high temperatures, and is more durable than regular glass. The plastic parts enable you to hold it with such hot water in it. The stainless will not rust on you, and is so durable and long lasting. It will not leach chemicals into your yummy coffee either. Either will the Borosilicate glass. First, pour your coffee grounds into the French Press. Then, pour in your hot, steamy water. Let it sit for approx.. 4 minutes, and then, slowly press the plunger down. Do it very slowly, and it compresses your grounds down to the bottom of the French Press. You want to make sure you use course grounds. This will eliminate little grounds in your coffee. When you pour your coffee, make sure you leave the plunger compresses. You leave it compressed the entire time there’s coffee in it. You can brew your tea in here as well; just compress your tea leaves. Any specialty drink really. This is a great way to carry your pot outside on the porch with you, to be able to enjoy a fresh refill at your table. You can sit outside and chat with a friend, and not have to leave the table to refresh your yummy cup of hot tea or coffee. It’s small and so portable for travel too. Since it’s not a plugged in appliance, you can use it at your desk at work, or in a hotel room. It’s so easy to clean as well. I hand wash everything, but it is dishwasher safe! This is a great single serving press. It has not let our grounds into our coffee. If you do a specialty, strong coffee, or tea, you can fill a few shot style glasses with this press. Once you use a French Press, you’ll love it. We certainly do.
