I have done many blogs on the 30oz Stainless Tumbler trend and competition. We, as a family, have even converted to them, and use them solely, for the most part. Now, we can add a splash of color to our original stainless tumblers, without having to, unnecessarily, ordering a new colored tumbler. Which, by the way, can be pricey. We can add a splash of color, and change out our cups, by just changing out the lid. I ordered their vibrant pink colored lid, but they do have it available in 7 colors in all. The colors available are all vibrant and deep, translucent colors: Purple, Light Purple, Pink, Green, Orange, Red, Blue. The lid has the sliding cover that completely covers up the drinking spout, for a splash free walk around town, or just to your vehicle. It holds really well too. If your cup dumps over, liquid will leak through the sliding port cover. It is not fully leak proof. There is a wide, and thick silicone ring that creates a really tight seal in the 30oz Yeti tumbler, as well as some of the competitors. I obviously only have a few competitors to test it on. I have one of the competitors that, unfortunately, did not make their opening dimension the same. So, this will not fit with a cup like that. This lid is made out of BPA free plastic. Which, really doesn’t matter, since your drink does not rest in it. It is dishwasher safe, although I only hand wash mine, like everything else. I love how well packaged it comes too. It is mailed in a regular box, not mail order shrink wrap packaging, lol. So, it is definitely a gift worthy item, and the perfect stocking stuffer with the holidays approaching. You can even order colors for the holidays, like orange for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Red or Green for Christmas, and on and on. I am so happy with this lids’ quality. I am comfortable recommending it.

Lol, was the first reaction I had to this mug. I find it absolutely hilarious, and I can picture so many people I know, using it too. I specifically got this mug for my oldest. He runs his own company, and can be quite stressed. This mug can give him a sense of amusement for sure. When it’s placed on your table, it looks like such a happy, sweet mug. When you tip it up, ba bammmm! I love it. The middle finger image is 3D. You can feel it and understand it, even if you were blind. So, everyone can enjoy this mug. The, Have A Nice Day, words are not in 3D, unfortunately. They are printed on nicely though. The words are also only printed on one side of the mug only. They state that this is a 14oz mug, but I measured the amount of fluid that can comfortably fit into the mug. You can fit 10oz of fluid in it, and still be able to walk to your table, desk, etc., with it. Any more than that, it will probably slosh over the rim. The rim is curved downward to make for a comfortable drinking experience. It feels comfortable on the lips, is what my mom likes to say. And, it is very comfortable to hold. You can comfortably fit your 4 fingers into the handle, if you have smaller hands. Otherwise, there is room for three, which isn’t as comfortable. This mug is also designed for right handers, due to the positioning of the Have A Nice Day statement and the finger direction under the mug. Our mug arrived in perfect condition. I had no discolorations, scratches, or chips in the mug. This is most definitely a gift worthy product. It comes nicely packaged, and will bring an instant smile, once they see the bottom, lol. It’s the perfect coworker gift for sure. We absolutely love it.

Fresh brewed at your table. – Cucina Tools’ ilFiltro Premium Stainless Steel Pour Over Coffee Dripper (2cup).

I have definite coffee nuts in my home. They definitely prefer fresh brewed too. Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to get that, and especially if you travel and work. We have and use a pour over coffee drip, on occasion. So, I know what I’m looking at. This particular product from Cucina Tools is a pretty stable product to use. This one in particular, is a 2 cup drip. They do also have it available in a 4 cup, if that’s what you need. This one is made out of 18/8 stainless steel, and the quality of construction is pretty sturdy. It’s thicker than the one I already have and use, so I am impressed with that. I love stainless in the kitchen. It is the material of choice of professional kitchens. It is durable, and easy to clean. It does not naturally harbor bacteria, fungus, or mold. And in case you are not used to dealing with stainless. It won’t alter the flavor of your coffee at all. You also don’t have to worry about chemicals leaching into your coffee with stainless. To use this coffee drip, you will need a stable mug to rest this on. You will also have to have access to hot water. For example, a microwave or hot water dispenser. After you get your mug ready, and place the coffee drip on top of it, add your coffee grounds to the drip. Then, slowly pour your hot water into the drip. It won’t all fit at one time, since it has to move slowly through your coffee. Even though metal picks up the temperature it’s introduced too, they have a silicone cover on the handle, so it’s safe and easy to remove the drip when it’s finished. Then, just knock the grounds into the trash, or compost bin. Wash it, and you’re done. It only takes a couple minutes for the coffee to be ready. If you grind your own grounds, do a coarser ground. The holes are real tiny, and you don’t have a large risk of grounds making their way into your coffee anyhow, though. It has a double layer of ultra-fine, stainless steel mesh. It really lets the flavor of the coffee be the show. Your cup of coffee will be more favorable then a regular coffee machine. But then, I do grind my own coffee too. The one con this coffee drip has going for it, is also a benefit. The silicone ring around the base that rests on your mug, comes off easily when washing it. That is the negative. It is really, really hard to get back on. The base is circular, so it wants to constantly pop off, as you are working it back on. But, it really allows for a stable position of the coffee drip, which is really important. They need to tweak the design a little. Overall, it’s a great working coffee drip. It’s durable, and makes a great cup of Joe.

Serve in style. – Quality of Life’s Hiware 68oz Stainless Steel Thermal Coffee Carafe.

If you like to entertain, or enjoy your coffee and tea, then you might really enjoy this Stainless Steel Carafe from Quality of Life. It can also be used to keep cold drinks cold, longer too. This is a 68oz carafe. It is pretty easy to fill, and will help keep your beverage hot, a lot longer. Aesthetically, I think this is a gorgeous piece. It is very sleek, and modern looking, while still holding a traditional flare, in case you like to have the ladies over for tea. It is made out of 18/10 Stainless Steel, and has double wall construction for an insulation factor. It not only is double walled, but there is also a vacuum seal, which creates the great insulation factor everyone is getting to know and love with the Yeti Tumbler. This Carafe is very well made. Mine has no imperfections, and feels quite solid in hand. When you close the lid, just double check to make sure it’s pushed down all the way, to ensure the utmost insulation of your beverage temperature. The opening is large enough for me to pour boiling water into it from my kettle. I was concerned about the size at first, but I had no issues the first time I tried it. I tried it while holding a camera in one hand, so I could film it, lol, and the boiling hot water in the kettle, in my other hand. If I can pour the water into the carafe like this, successfully, and without a stray drip, then anyone can. Now, even though it is double walled, it still gets hot to the touch when you fill it with hot water. It doesn’t get hot enough to burn you, but it still gets hot. The handle stays cool to the touch though, so that is all that matters. The bottom doesn’t get hot either, so you can place it down on the table. About 2 ½ hours after I filled it with boiling hot water, the carafe was getting cooler on the outside, and the top portion was still a little hot to the touch. It really retains its heat. I was happy to see that this carafe is actually dishwasher safe. I wasn’t sure because of the seal, but it is. It is definitely restaurant quality too. I hand wash everything, and it’s easy to reach down into the bottom of this product, with a bottle brush. Stainless doesn’t naturally harbor fungus, bacteria, or mold, so it’s a great material to be used in the kitchen/food environment. Now, I did a long term test on the carafe with hot water. It is great for casual dining, and entertaining. It will not by any means keep your water hot, like coffee or tea hot, for a long span. I let it sit for 7 hours, with never opening it up. The water was tepid at that point, and I had to microwave it in my coffee cup, to make a cup of tea. I think it’s perfect for social entertaining. You can get your coffee, or tea, or pitcher of cold drinks ready, and be able to set the table and sit down and enjoy with your friends and family. It’s perfect for that.

Green with Envy? – Simple Modern Vacuum Insulated 20oz Cruiser Tumbler with Lid.

We have entered the age of the stainless steel tumbler, lol. They are popping up everywhere and from anyone, it seems. I love that too! These cups are amazing, amazing, amazing. We all use them daily in my household. They truly keep the cold drinks colder, longer, and the hot drinks, hotter, longer. I only have boring silver in my home though. So, I was beyond excited to be able to review this awesome bright green 20oz tumbler from Simply Modern on Amazon. I ordered the Candy Apple Green, but they do have it available in plain stainless steel, and 7 other powder coated colors. The finish of my green color is vivid, and smooth to the touch. So far so good with durability. The tumbler is constructed out of the 18/8 Stainless Steel I am used to seeing with these type of tumblers. The top does create a very tight seal, which is important for the insulation factor. It has the small mouth opening that I am also accustomed to. My thin stainless steel straws fit into it perfectly. My guys use this size all the time. They work on the road as commercial electricians, and depend on quality cups to carry their drinks. This size is great for cars. It fits into our cup holders without issue. The construction of this cup is the double walled construction, with a vacuum seal in between. That is what makes for the great insulation effects. I love that no matter what the temperature of the drink inside of the cup, the outside of the cup is never uncomfortable to touch and hold. Steamy hot drinks, no problem. Icy cold drinks, you can’t even tell. We do have the 20oz Yeti cup to compare this cup to, and it performs just as well! This cup is dishwasher safe, but I always hand wash everything, anyhow. Everyone always says, is the cup leakproof. Well, no, duh, lol. There is a whole in the lid. That always cracks me up. The seal itself is fantastic, and we have no leaing from around the seal. Fortunately, the drinking hole is small, and down from the edge. With regular walking, your fine and dandy. If you bend over to pick something up, and your cup is in your hand, it will leak out, lol. Yes, I have done that, and more than once too. We really love the bright green color. We call it Zombie Green, haha. It’s easy to spot, so hopefully, you won’t leave it on top of your car, or behind on your outing. You’ll be able to tell if a family member or coworker tries to claim it as theirs. We absolutely love it, and have no complaints. It’s a formidable challenger on the Stainless Steel Tumbler market.

Stays put, and quite comfy to stand on. – Chef’s Design Memory Foam Kitchen Mat.

We have always had a kitchen rug, ever since I can remember. It just seems like the thing to do. I wash all my dishes by hand, so I appreciate a comfy rug to stand on. This one from Chef’s Design on Amazon is pretty comfortable, too. I ordered mine in the Espresso, coffee theme, but they do have five other themes to choose from. This rug is a standard size for a kitchen rug. It measures 18” wide by 28” long. It’s a great size to place in front of your sink area. It’s also great to have a rug there, in case you spill some water while cleaning. Then your tile floors won’t be as slippery. Hopefully, keeping you from falling. This is a memory foam mat. It’s not extra thick or cushy, like some are. It definitely helps with keeping leg fatigue at bay with a lot of standing though. The underside is coated with nonskid dots, and they really work. I even tried jumping and sliding on it. It did not budge. My husband looked at me like I was crazy, lol, but I did this more than once. It doesn’t look like enough nonskid elements, but it sure is enough! My mat arrived folded up, but it unfolded quickly, and the crease lines disappeared almost completely in about 30 minutes. By the next day, you shouldn’t see any more creases. All of the stitching was done tight and on point. And, there was no odor to my new mat upon arrival either. The topside is a woven material, almost like you see on upholstery and pillows. In other words, it’s a pretty durable material. Yes, this is machine washable. I personally wouldn’t put it into a machine with a large agitator. The newer machines that really don’t have a tall agitator should be fine though. Then just tumble dry on low, or air dry. My rug looks just like it’s shown on their ad page. The colors weren’t different in person. If you have a narrow galley kitchen, then this may not be the carpet for you. It is not flat, and if you are a feet scooter, lol, you may trip on it. If you have a more open area in your kitchen, then this should be of no concern. Overall, I have no complaints with this kitchen rug. I like the design, quality, and how it stays put. It is comfortable to stand on, and my feet are much happier for it.

Fits the Yeti! – Neat Lids’ 30 oz. Tumbler Lid.

I have a 30oz Yeti cup, and one of their competitors’ 30oz Stainless Steel tumblers too. I drink out of my Yeti 30oz all the time, and I do use a straw. It’s hard to find straws that will fit into these cups. The tops that come with them have a very small drink opening on them. I have been seeing these new tops advertised all over Facebook. So, I have been very intrigued by them. In other words, I was so thrilled to be given the chance to review one. It arrives in simple, mail order packaging, and in perfect condition. It fit both my Yeti tumbler and my copycat tumbler, perfectly. It is made out of BPA free, top quality, food grade plastic. The seal on the outer ring is great, and really keeps your lid in place. There is a top sliding “door” per say, on the top of the cup. It slides over, and cover up the hole perfectly. Your drink will still trickle out if tipped, but a splash from walking won’t make it out. That is a great perk if you take your morning drink with you, on your way to work. The O Ring Seal makes the vacuum seal well. Without this seal, your cup wouldn’t be able to keep your cold liquids cold, and your hot liquids stay hot, for as long as it does. I noticed no difference with this lid compared to the lid that comes with the cups. I like the drinking opening a lot, on this lid. When slid open, the drink opening, was made a little bit larger, to accommodate straws. It is hard to find a tall thin straw, so this lid makes it doable. I am loving this feature. If not using a straw, the sliding lid feature is very beneficial as well. Especially if you are hanging outside. You don’t have to worry about any bugs making your way into your drink, eeewwwww. It’s also really nice knowing your hot coffee won’t splash onto you while heading out the door. Overall, I really like this lid. I just wish that when the lid was skid shut, that no liquid would drip out if slightly tipped. I wouldn’t definitely still but this lid, for the straw feature alone.

Another great tumbler. – Simple Modern Vacuum Insulated 30oz Stainless Steel Tumbler.

Let me tell you, we had been converted Tervis people. Then, my son moved us over to the Yeti stainless cups. We have officially been converted over to the Yeti side, lol. I have tried other competitor brands, but this is my first 30oz competitor cup. I use my 30oz Yeti every day! I just love it. So, I was very, very curious and excited about testing out this competitor. I love the challenge. This mug looks just like my Yeti. It has a smaller bottom area, so it can fit in my car cup holder. I will not use a cup, if it doesn’t fit in my car. My throat swells shut all of the time due to numerous life threatening allergies. My throat is always swollen and sore. I always have a cup fully of an icy drink to sip on, 24/7. My throat wakes me up during the night, and I sip on the icy drink. It really helps. So, it is very important to me that my cup can keep my drink cold for an extended period of time. I did an ice test on this cup first thing. I filled it to the top with ice, and then placed the top on. The top has silicone rings around it, and it creates a great seal. Mind you, there is a drinking hole in the lid. You can fit a narrow straw through this. I have thin stainless steel straws that we use with these cups. After 25 hours, there was actually still some ice left in the cup. It performs as well as my Yeti, which makes me very happy!!!! It even comes in 8 different color choices, for no additional cost. It is made out of 18/8 stainless steel, and has the double wall construction. It is toxin free, chemical free, and safe to drink both hot and cold liquids out of it. My husband took his coffee to work with him. He had a 3 hour drive to the office, too. He is very happy with how this cup is performing with hot liquids. The double wall construction is great. I wouldn’t have it any other way. The cup never sweats. It is comfortable to both hold and drink out of this cup. You can put steamy hot coffee right from the Kuerig in here, and not feel the heat through the cup. We haven’t been able to find any negatives with this cup. It has held its own against our Yeti. Enjoy.

Fresh coffee when you want it. – YINGMO’s French Press 3 Cup 12oz Coffee, Espresso & Tea Maker.

I am pretty fond of the French Press. They really do enable you to have fresh brewed coffee, and so quickly too. This particular one from Yingmo is a great personal French Press. If you are single, or are the only one that really drinks coffee, this is great for you. My guys work on the road a lot, and a French press can be carried with you. You just need a microwave or hot pot, to heat up your water. This particular press is a 12oz press. It’s great for a single person that enjoys a large cup of coffee. Everyone in my household sure does. This unit is made out of 18/8 Stainless Steel, Plastic, and Borosilicate glass. This is the type of glass used for beakers, and much more. It can tolerate high temperatures, and is more durable than regular glass. The plastic parts enable you to hold it with such hot water in it. The stainless will not rust on you, and is so durable and long lasting. It will not leach chemicals into your yummy coffee either. Either will the Borosilicate glass. First, pour your coffee grounds into the French Press. Then, pour in your hot, steamy water. Let it sit for approx.. 4 minutes, and then, slowly press the plunger down. Do it very slowly, and it compresses your grounds down to the bottom of the French Press. You want to make sure you use course grounds. This will eliminate little grounds in your coffee. When you pour your coffee, make sure you leave the plunger compresses. You leave it compressed the entire time there’s coffee in it. You can brew your tea in here as well; just compress your tea leaves. Any specialty drink really. This is a great way to carry your pot outside on the porch with you, to be able to enjoy a fresh refill at your table. You can sit outside and chat with a friend, and not have to leave the table to refresh your yummy cup of hot tea or coffee. It’s small and so portable for travel too. Since it’s not a plugged in appliance, you can use it at your desk at work, or in a hotel room. It’s so easy to clean as well. I hand wash everything, but it is dishwasher safe! This is a great single serving press. It has not let our grounds into our coffee. If you do a specialty, strong coffee, or tea, you can fill a few shot style glasses with this press. Once you use a French Press, you’ll love it. We certainly do.

The perfect grind. – AFL Product’s Manual Coffee Grinder with Conical Ceramic Burr.

We are big coffee drinkers in my family. We love drinking organic coffee. I have insane food allergies and we get it now and then. We buy whole bean and grind it ourselves, for even more yummy freshness. There really is a difference in flavor. We have an electric grinder, but I have to admit, manual grinders are better on coffee beans. My husband really prefers it, and so do I. It’s quieter, lol, and the manual grinders are easier to clean and maintain. They do a better job on the grind as well. There is a ceramic burr in this one. In our personal experience, ceramic lasts longer, and does an amazing job in grinding. It keeps it’s “sharpness” a lot longer than traditional metal. You can adjust and set your coarseness. Just do it before putting your coffee beans in it, lol. If you are using a coffee press, or putting it into a Keurig cup, and need a coarser grind. That is easy with this. I do it and use my Keurig cups for the most part. It works perfectly. This grinder is made out of stainless steel. It is pretty durable and perfect for travel. Stainless also doesn’t naturally harbor bacteria, mold, or fungus. Included in this set is the grinder, a handle, a storage bag, and a cleaning brush. You just need to provide the muscle power and the coffee beans. The handle does not screw on. It is a separate piece that just gets placed on top while you use it. The top cap comes off, and that is where you place your coffee beans. The ground coffee then falls into the lower portion of the unit, and gets stored there until you need it. You can see the ground amount in it. There are two clear panels in the lower compartment. This particular unit is also compatible with the Aeropress, if you have it. I do not own it, so I was unable to test that out personally. The bottom portion was hard to remove the first time out. I was able to rock it back and forth and get it off that way. After that one time, it was easy to do, like my other manual grinders. If you travel a lot for pleasure, or work, this is perfect for you. You can easily make fresh coffee on the go with this unit. I love that they included both the cleaning brush and the drawstring storage bag. They really did think of everything. After you grind your coffee, just use the brush to clean out the top portion and what is visible of the grinder. That’s all you have to do. It really takes no muscle at all to grind it. Even when I am weak after an anaphylactic reaction, I can turn this grinder. I think people hate to hear the word, manual, lol. Don’t scare away from it with this. It really is easy to do, and quick to do as well.
