I am not new to grill mats. I am using a couple as stove liners as we speak, lol. It’s true though. I love these things. They are so useful, and in other ways besides grilling. This set of 2 from LoveU. on Amazon, meets my high expectations as well. I hate when I really like a product, and then you order a different brand, only to have your heart crushed. Well, not with this brand. They are a great quality and size. Each mat measures in at 20 inches x 13 inches. These mats are slick to the touch and are 0.23mm thick. These mats are made out of a 100% Food Grade Material, and are FDA and LFGB approved. They are non-toxic, and eco-friendly. They will not add any odd odors or flavors to your food at all. They are made out of a used glass fiber cloth and is coated with a 45% PTFE with special technology. This material cleans off so easily. Nothing really sticks to it at all. It has a great temperature range as well. It can go from -60F to a max of 680 °F. You can do candy making and chocolate making on these mats, easily. I love use them for meal prep. The size is larger than a cutting board, and I don’t always need to do a lot of cutting. It’s great to be able to lay all my food out in one area while preparing. Especially since these mats are so easy to clean. Today, I used one of the mats to prep the grilled cheese sandwiches for our soup and sandwich dinner. It was so much easier than stacking bread on multiple plates. I also love that since it is a nonstick mat, I do not have to add any oil or butter to grease it before putting my food down. That stops a lot of waste and calories too. These mats work really well on a grill. You can do fish and veggies on here beautifully. And again, easy clean up. I do love that part, lol. You can grill fruit, and even pizza on these mats too; anything you want. Besides food, you can use these for an arts and crafts surface for your children. These will definitely protect your table from markers, paint, glue, and glitter! And, yet again, these are so easy to clean up. Can you tell I love them, because I do. These are perfect for so much more than grilling. I think calling them Grill Mats really sells them short. This set even arrives with a free hair tie, to keep them bundled for easy storage. I thought that was so clever and perfect. I love everything about this product.

My son loves his new light. – Innovation Product’s Portable LED Folding Desk Lamp.

We love LED lighting in my home. It is a bright and clear light. No more harmful, poisonous chemicals in our lighting, with LEDs. My older son shattered a compact fluorescent in his room a while back. He had to sleep in the living room for a week. They have mercury powder in them. It cannot be vacuumed up. The whole episode was horrifying to me. LEDs are safe to have around your family, and that is priceless to me. This is a really cute and fun light from Innovation Products. It looks like a can but extends into a light/night light. It has an internal 500mAh battery, and maintains a charge. So, you can keep it charged up, and your child can carry it with them into a tent, down the dark hallway, camping, and bedside at night. It is only a 3W light, but really is bright. It does make a great reading light, and task oriented, work light. The light charges via a USB cord provided. It is not a micro USB cord, so don’t lose it, lol. After it is charged, slide the top half of the can upwards. Then fold the light out. You will see a white button down towards the base. The first press turns on the reading light. The second press turns off the reading light, and turns on the night light. This light is so cute! It comes out the top of the can and displays a star pattern on the wall or ceiling. The LED light rotates through colored LEDs. We love it. It really is an eco-friendly way for your kids to use a night light. Even with the Santa on the outside of the can, it can still be used year round. Just place a vinyl sticker or regular sticker over the small Santa. My son loves it as is, lol. He absolutely hates the dark, and this is small enough for him to carry anywhere. It is only just over 6 ½” tall. The night light feature is really so cute, and the reading light is bright and really offers a lot of light at only 3W. It really is a welcomed addition to our home.

Candles, candles, candles! I love them. These real wax, battery operated candles are fun to use. You have no fire worries, or burn worries around your children and pets. You can fall asleep with them on, or walk out of the room, and not have to worry. A great piece of mind while enjoying a candle like experience. My youngest is currently afraid of real candles. It’s not even worth lighting one, because he freaks out, and it’s no longer relaxing to have going. Another plus side of battery operated candles, is that you don’t have to worry about what’s burning from the candle into your air. This set from Top Race is pretty nice. You get three candles and 1 remote control in your package. Each candle requires 3 AAA batteries that you have to supply. No screwdriver is needed to access the compartment. The battery for the remote is included. Just pull out the plastic from the battery compartment before use. On the bottom of each candle is also an on/off switch. You need to turn them on here to use them. You can leave that in the on position and turn them off with the remote. Remote controls make everything better. The candles are different sizes, which makes for a nice trio: 4”, 5”, and 6”. These are pillar candle style, and are approx.. 3” across. Each candle has LEDs in it, and afford 12 different colors. With the remote you have the choice of twelve different colors. You can have them rotate through the colors, or stay on a solid color of your choice. You can also have them be solid on, or in a simulated flickering mode. The flickering mode is actually very enjoyable. The white LED and the yellow LED makes these look realistic while on. I love that the exterior is done in a real wax. They are fragrant free, but you can smell the wax when you first open them up. One of my candles had some cracks in it upon arrival. I received them to review, so I did not return them. You can obviously exchange them if that happened to you. When on, these do not put off an odor. The do not even get warm to the touch. If you use rechargeable batteries, then you really have an eco-friendly product here. These are great for relaxing evenings, romantic evenings, power outages, by your bathtub, outside on your patio, and more. They are weather friendly, so you can use them outside. You can even set these on a 4 or 8 hour timer. You are really going to find these enjoyable. I know I have.

An incredible power station. – Ocean Technology’s UNITEK 10-Port(with 1 Port QC 2.0) USB Charger Charging Station for Multiple Device with SmartIC Tech.

If you have a family of electronics, you need this charging station. It is powerful, and oh so handy to have and use! There are a total of 10 USB ports on this charging station from Unitek, sold by Ocean Technologies. Each port can deliver a charge up to 2.4A, and 1 port is a QC 2.0A port. This is a 60W unit. This port has a different color inside of it, so easy to see. It is the port all the way on the right. All the ports offer a nice snug fit. The power cord comes in 2 pieces and attaches into the left side of this stand. This is the coolest stand too. It comes with 10 plastic dividers, that push into the grooves on top of the unit. You can set them up any way you want, or leave the off all together. With them on, you can stand your charging items between those dividers. I put several on, in a wider configuration, and was able to stand my power banks up between them, while charging them. I love how organized that is. It takes up so much less space this way as well. Since each port delivers so much power, you can actually charge a lot of items at one time. Most of my items require the larger amps, so this is perfect for me. I can charge phones, tablets, batteries, and power banks, all at one time. This is what they said about the QC port: “The 1 charging port with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, which allow certain Qualcomm Snapdragon based devices charge up to 75% faster than devices that use conventional charging methods.” I think that’s pretty impressive, myself. This unit is larger, but does not have a built in fan. Even so, it only gets a little warm to the touch while charging. It comes with a US plug, but can accept voltage worldwide: 100-240V input. So, if you do a lot of traveling, just bring a plug adapter with you, and you are good. This charging station is even energy efficient. It received the highest rating from the U.S. Department of Energy of DOE 6. I like knowing that. It’s a smart charger, and supplies what you need to your unit, as well as, it won’t over charge your item. That is an important feature as well. So far so good for me with this charger. It is performing perfectly, and I am loving it.

Such a fun kite! – KickFire Kadavu’s Premium Blue Delta Kite.

My youngest is 8 years old, and has never flown a kite until now. He was so excited. I have two older kids, and have used my share of kites in the past. With all that said, I am really happy with this kite. KickFire’s Kadavu kite is so nice, and easy to set up. This kite only has one fiberglass pole to insert, and the string to attach, then you are up and flying. They include a 100ft of kite string on this bad boy too. This kite is made out of Rip Stop Nylon. All of the stitching was done well. The yellow pieces of Nylon that come off the wings, are not stitched though, and start to fray a little upon flying. This is not an uncommon feature at all, from my experience. This kite measures out at10ft long from tip to tail, and the wing span is just under 6ft, including the streamers. It does come with a storage bag as well. I can tell you that once you fly the kite, it’s a little hard to slide the kite back in. I wish the storage bag was a couple inches wider. It’s doable though, but just doable. This kite was made to cut through the sky. Lol, we aren’t that skilled yet, since we don’t fly kites often. I haven’t flown one in years, so we are back to the beginner level status. It does work great in the sky though. My 8 year old was able to fly it himself and he’s ecstatic by it. We live close to the beach, and get a lot of wind. So, this has opened up a whole new healthy outside activity for him. The bright colors of this kite make it highly visible, even when the sun is shining in your eyes. It truly is a fun kite to fly.

The perfect fishing net. – Quick Fox Unlimited’s Bundle, Catch and Release Fly Fishing Net.

My family likes to fish. It’s an activity that all ages can do together, and is quite enjoyable. This fishing net from Quick Fox Unlimited is gorgeous. It comes with a really strong, magnetic release cord too. My husband was actually surprised at how strong the magnet is. The basket of this fishing net is made out of a rubber mesh. It is gentle on the fish if you are doing catch and release, and if you are fly fishing, will help enable an easy Fly removal as well. You can use this for any type of fishing. It does not have to be fly fishing. The craftsmanship of this net is top notch. I love the wood handle and frame. It has a beautiful two toned design, and is highly varnished to ensure the life of the wood. The basket was sewn on, so it is changeable if you damage it. There are little holes through the wood frame where the basket was attached with string. The hoop, area, or basket measures out at: “25 inches (hoop is 10.75″ x 16.75″ and 8″ deep).” The magnetic clasp clips on easily with a metal clip. It measures at 9″ coiled and 72″ stretched out. We do a lot of pier fishing, and this net will definitely come in handy. Besides the magnetic clip, this net also comes with a clip on stretchable neck lanyard. Both of these are perfect for when you are fishing in the water, and leaning over a pier railing. You can even take this net out when you fish from your kayak. Besides having a great reach, you are ensured not losing it, as long as you take advantage of its features. You don’t have to worry about the net dry rotting either because it’s rubber. This really is a fabulous fishing net. It’s a win, win. We are really happy about it, and are looking forward to a lot of fishing with it.

The fun way to keep your drinks cool. – Kollea Drinks’ 6PCS Stainless Steel Chilling Reusable Ice Cubes.

Adult drinks are yummy, but are not usually chugged on down. I love my drinks cold, but regular ice can and does, water my drinks down. Adding stainless steel ice cubes, a.k.a., Whisky Chillers, can really be helpful. They help keep your drink cooler, for a longer period, without watering your drink down. The stainless steel version, is the new updated version from the soapstone ones. This particular set arrives in a great storage case with 6 stones and a pair of stainless serving tongs. I store mine in the freezer, but if you don’t want to do that, just remember to place them into the freezer about an hour before using them. When my gorgeous set by Kollea Drinks arrived, it came with a plastic storage case, 6 stainless steel chilling cubes, and a pair of stainless steel serving tongs. I washed my cubes and tongs, and placed the entire set into the freezer. Now they are perfect anytime I want to use them. These can be used with any type of drink. Even with your children and their apple juice. First off, these do not add any chemicals to your drinks. They do not add any weird flavor to your drink either. Each ice cube has a nontoxic gel inside of it, which is what freezes and keeps your drinks cooler. These are not ice cubes, and won’t cool your drink as much as they do. They definitely help keep your drink cooler than without them though. It’s a fantastic alternative. To really cool and keep your drink cool, I recommend using 4 -6 of the cubes, depending on your drink size. I am really happy with this set overall. They work perfect in my glass of wine. Overall, I love this set. I already had one set, and now I don’t have to share, lol. This are perfect for pulling out when company is over. They are definitely attention getters.

Modernize your home with Topgreener’s TU21548A 4.8A Duplex USB Charger Outlet Ultra High Speed, Smart USB Ports, 24W, 15A.

I am not new to Topgreener Electrical outlets. We have a few, and are quite happy with them. Not only is the company easy to work with, but their products are also well made. This particular outlet is a 24W, 15A outlet. It has 2, three prong outlets, as well as 2 USB high speed charging ports. These charging ports have a combined 4.8W output. Our outlet has been working like a charm. Since it is a go to outlet, we have it fully loaded, just like in the video, lol. It is well used, and it works like a charm. I can tell you that my son, who is a commercial electrician, installed it for me. He stated that the unit was very well made. He was impressed by it. He showed me side by side, the old, regular outlet we changed out, and the new outlet. The new outlet is much more substantial. It goes into the wall much deeper than the regular one. We did not have to modify our opening to fit it in any way, phew. The wires on the outlet are green (ground), blue (hot), and brown (neutral). The USB ports are smart ports too. It will read what your device needs, and gives it to them. My items normally need the higher power like 2 to 2.4, so these ports are perfect for us. So, you won’t have to worry about your electronics being overcharged. The USB ports compatibility is: 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0 devices. So, you could do an IPhone in one port, and a larger item in the other port. Let’s say you have a larger pad that requires 3.0A, and the IPhone charges on 1, so you’ll still be good to go. Our outlet never gets hot to the touch, even when fully loaded. We have never had it trip our breaker. It has been working wonderfully! When it arrives it has three interchangeable outlet plates: white, light almond, and black. You will, however, have to provide your own wall plate. Since my son is an electrician, he had one on his truck for me. I’m spoiled, lol. We have nothing negative to say about this product. It has been nothing but perfect for us in every aspect. It’s such an easy way to modernize your home. To top it off, if you have little kids, this unit is also tamper resistant. Your little ones won’t be able to just shove little things in it. It’s a safer plug to have around.

Attack lizard, lol. – iLoonger’s DIY Lizard Plastic Infrared Self-Assembly.

This toy is soooooooo much fun, it really is. Building it was a slight challenge, but well worth the effort. It’s a great brain boosting experience, lol. This toy is rated ages 10 and up. If your child has great motor skills, then they might be able to build it, with some occasional guidance. Besides motor skills, patience is what is needed with an assembly that this one requires. The directions are overall pretty clear to follow. We did not build it all at once. We dedicated some quite evening time to the toy. I had one plastic piece bend on removal from the sheet. This made it slightly difficult to assemble it. Over the next couple of days, I slowly worked it, and was able to finally snap it into place correctly, so the build could continue. The main portion of a kit like this, is building the gears. This makes it a very educational toy. I was just fascinated by it. The directions are not completely correct though when it comes to one component. There is one piece that they want you to assemble, and state you may need a small hammer. Do not search for these pieces. It arrives already assembled for you. This assembly does require cutting off the small plastic ends off of the pieces that stay connected after unsnapping it from the sheet. All of the main pieces are plastic and attached to a plastic sheet. You need to look closely, and you will see a letter stamped on each sheet: A, B and C. Then each piece has a number associated with it; for example, B5. Just like in the game Battleship, lol. You will need to supply your own AAA batteries. This toy requires 4. I can’t believe how well the lizard works, and how fast this thing can go. It is quite entertaining. It is an infrared toy, and responds to your movements in front of its face.

This lizard has two modes. In the first mode this lizard runs around like a mad man. If something gets in its way. It flares its frill and tries to escape. They call it the escape mode. In the second mode, which is the approach mode, it will come to you, and when you place your hand or foot in front of it again, it spreads it frill at you and the eyes glow red. The eyes are green when it is approaching. We are all loving this toy. My 8-year-old is absolutely fascinated with this toy. It is so interactive, which makes it so fun. So even when the build is over, it keeps entertaining. There is a switch on the back of it to change the mode. This toy is very easy to operate after the build. This has definitely been an experience, and a product I feel comfortable recommending.

There’s nothing like homemade pizza! – Kit-Chef’s Round Cordierite Pizza Stone.

Stoneware has been a big part of my kitchen for around 15 years now. I love cooking on stones. I needed a new pizza stone though, so I am thrilled about this new one from Kit-Chef. It is wonderful. This stone is also the thickest stone I have ever had. It is 14” in diameter and ¾’s of an inch thick! That is thick. It is quite substantial in weight and size. It works like a dream too. I can’t wait to see how much better it gets with seasoning. Seasoning occurs over time. The more you cook on it, the better it gets. This is definitely a product that gets better with age, just like us cooks, lol.

When you first use this stone, you need to rinse it thoroughly with water only. Never, ever, use soap on this stone. It will soak it up, and your food will taste off. Then, let it dry overnight. The next day, cook it in your oven at about 450 degrees, for up to 2 hours. They state as high as your oven can go. Now, you are free to cook on it. Don’t rub oils on your stone, they can end up smoking a little in the oven. If you want to put something down on your stone so your food doesn’t stick, place some cornmeal on it. My pizzas came out beautifully on this stone. I need another one now, lol. I cook two at a time. Of course, you can cook anything on a stone. I just have fresh made pizza on my mind. Included in the box with the stone, is a great instruction sheet. To get a crisper crust, you can preheat your stone, and then place you pizza down on it, or rolls, breads, etc.. Do not place a hot stone into water though. It will crack on you! You need to make sure it cools off before you wash it off with water only. I love how evenly stones cook. They really do add a special something to baked goods.
