Family fun. – iRush’s 3D Virtual Reality Video Glasses.

We are not new to VR glasses in my home. They are fun to use. We did discover though, that not everyone can use them. I have one son who injured himself when he was little. He can’t see the full view using the glasses. So, if you have some trouble, you are not alone. The rest of us can enjoy them though. This particular VR headset from iRush are very comfortable to use. They fit larger phones as well. This particular set is stated to fit phones from 4 – 6” in length. I have a Galaxy Note 5, and I can use these with my phone perfectly. I do have to remove it from my Otterbox case though. I have to with every pair of VR glasses we have. These are so easy to use. The front of the glasses has a magnetic closure, so just pull from the top to open. It opens easily for you. You will see the large clip that opens to hold your phone in place. There is a nice foam insert that protects your phone screen when inserted, and it holds your phone very securely as well. The front cover clips on, and can be removed completely. You can turn your camera mode on, and look through the lenses. It’s pretty wild. You can watch 3D movies on here as well as VR games and apps. Your phone does all the work. So, this will only be as good as your phone, really. I downloaded the VaR’s app from the Google Playstore. It is free, and has been working perfectly for me. Once you download the app, just do a search for VR games, and apps. Then download them to your phone. We like the dinosaur and aquarium apps. My son also like the rollercoaster one as well. When you have the goggles on, you really need to be able to stand up, and be able to turn in a full circle to get the full effect. On top of the goggles is a turn wheel. Just move this to adjust the pupil and focal distance as needed. It is adjustable from 55-75mm. I didn’t have to adjust it for myself. The headband is a wide and comfortable, Nylon webbing. It is adjustable on both the sides, and over the head. There is a plastic plate on the back of it to help keep it stabilized. It’s pretty comfortable on. Around the eyes, there is a deep padding done in a pleather like covering. It is very soft, and really makes the comfort of these glasses. It’s a fun experience that both the spectators, and the actual participate in. It’s fun to watch people react to what they are seeing. These can be used by virtually all ages as well. You can have fun with this from Grandma to grandson, at one gathering. We have, and it’s fun to watch Grandma use it, lol.

Meet the Dragon from Vomach.

I live in a home of gamers, lol. Especially computer gaming. These headphones are definitely getting some use. The have two 3.5mm cables and one USB cable attached to it. The USB is to power the green LED lighting throughout the headphones. I love the green LED lighting on these Vomach Dragon headphones. It really adds to the gaming environment. The mic on these actually lights up green as well. You do not have to use the LED lighting in order to use the headphones. My younger son’s computer isn’t set up for him to use the LEDs while using the headphones, unfortunately. My computer is, as well as my older son’s. One Aux cable powers the mic and headphones, and one just does the headphones, and no mic. No, they are not labeled, lol. My younger son always speaks to his friend while they play games, and the mic has been very clear for him. There is a mic off switch and a volume control bar, part way down the 2meter cable, and they are very easy to operate. It’s pretty generous in size, which is good for him, because he can’t sit still. The mic is clear on both ends too. You will not have to yell and keep repeating yourself with this one. I listened to videos and the sound is very clear. Both the bass and instrumental were pretty level. No weird pitches, no static, or lag. My son says they are perfect. And he is not a fan of headphones. He’d rather scream into the computer. It’s a lot of fun, lol. The ends of the Aux cables are gold plated for enhanced performance. The headband itself has a spring loaded adjustment to fit your head, and allow for comfortable movement and fit. The ear padding is very soft on the ears as well. On the inside of the ear cups you will see a screen printed Dragon; a nice touch if I do say so myself. Overall, we are very pleased with the Dragon from Vomach.

Safety first. – BabyBubz Jumbo Foam Playmat.

I love this set, it’s huge! In this Babybubz package of interlocking foam tiles, you get 36 – 12” tiles and edge pieces. The tiles themselves equal 36 square feet of floor coverage. That is a lot of coverage. Each tile is even 1.5cm thick. The foam is so dense, soft and cushy. It really provides great support and cushion from falls for your little ones. This is a top of the line EVA foam which is BPA and Phthalate free. It’s a non toxic play mat as well. I love how easy it is to assemble and rearrange. The pieces are easily separated and rearranged into any square or rectangular shape you need. They are easy to wash off in the sink or tub, and dry quickly as well. These will easily protect little heads from falls, and prevent a lot of bruises. With so many people just wanted hard flooring in their homes, these are essential for safe play zones for little ones. When your children grow, you can then use these to place your workout equipment on. They will definitely add some excitement to working out. The colors are vivid, but on the muted side of primary colors. There are yellow, red, purple, blue, orange and green tiles in this set. I am very happy with this set from Babybubz. I really can’t find any negatives with it.

The perfect fishing net. – Quick Fox Unlimited’s Bundle, Catch and Release Fly Fishing Net.

My family likes to fish. It’s an activity that all ages can do together, and is quite enjoyable. This fishing net from Quick Fox Unlimited is gorgeous. It comes with a really strong, magnetic release cord too. My husband was actually surprised at how strong the magnet is. The basket of this fishing net is made out of a rubber mesh. It is gentle on the fish if you are doing catch and release, and if you are fly fishing, will help enable an easy Fly removal as well. You can use this for any type of fishing. It does not have to be fly fishing. The craftsmanship of this net is top notch. I love the wood handle and frame. It has a beautiful two toned design, and is highly varnished to ensure the life of the wood. The basket was sewn on, so it is changeable if you damage it. There are little holes through the wood frame where the basket was attached with string. The hoop, area, or basket measures out at: “25 inches (hoop is 10.75″ x 16.75″ and 8″ deep).” The magnetic clasp clips on easily with a metal clip. It measures at 9″ coiled and 72″ stretched out. We do a lot of pier fishing, and this net will definitely come in handy. Besides the magnetic clip, this net also comes with a clip on stretchable neck lanyard. Both of these are perfect for when you are fishing in the water, and leaning over a pier railing. You can even take this net out when you fish from your kayak. Besides having a great reach, you are ensured not losing it, as long as you take advantage of its features. You don’t have to worry about the net dry rotting either because it’s rubber. This really is a fabulous fishing net. It’s a win, win. We are really happy about it, and are looking forward to a lot of fishing with it.

Summer is almost here. – Norty’s Wave Childrens Kids Aqua Socks.

Summertime is coming, and my son is getting excited about the beach. He was so looking forward to these shoes. Unfortunately, they did not fit. I had a very pouty boy on my hands. He wears a sz. 4 shoe, and has room in them, but these are definitely smaller! So unfortunate. I like how these water shoes have the toe areas slightly molded into them. It makes for a more natural footing. Inside, if you feel into the tow area, it feels smooth, but the toe area is wide for a natural foot, instead of pushing the toes together like most shoes. They do have a couple styles and many colors available to suit toddlers up to a child’s sz4 shoe. These have the usual black rubber sole, for great footing. They upper is a combination of mesh and Neoprene. The stitching was done alright. It’s not the best, but definitely serves its function. The Velcro piece is approx.. 1 ¾” long and ¾”s of an inch wide, at the widest point. I wish this was a tad larger. These also run a little narrow, so if you have to pull this across the top of the foot, it may not hold. I like how the rubber of the sole, curls up over the tips of the toes. It really helps to protect their little tippies from rocks. Neoprene is a highly durable material, and dries quickly. That’s why it’s the material of choice for water shoes. There is a little loop on the back of the shoe. My son really likes the style of the shoe, and is upset they do not fit. I recommend ordering a size up, and you should be happy with them.

A parent’s dream. -Kriss Imports’ BLOKPOD The Modern 2 in 1 Toy Box and Storage Solution.

My son loves Lego’s, but then, don’t most kids. I even love building the kits. The one downside to Legos is sorting, and storing all of the pieces. This container is amazing. It is so large, and see thru. You can see everything you need. And the container sorts them down by size; so awesome! This Blokpod should have come into my life years ago, lol. It is such a great size at 17 ¼ inches tall, and 10 inches in diameter. You get three rows of very durable, plastic containers, divided by a mesh barrier. The mesh barrier’s holes’ decrease in size on the way down to the bottom layer/ Now. They are all hooked up together but can be opened by a twist and pull movement. At first, they can be difficult to do. I had trouble removing the lid upon arrival. After you do it a few times, it gets easier. The top of the container has two large hand holes in it, which makes it easy to grab and hold. The mesh layers are also different colors. Red has the largest holes, yellow the second largest, and the blue has the smallest holes in it. They state that this container is compatible with: “LEGO, Mega Bloks, K’Nex, Rokenbok, Best-Lock”. I do not have all of those, but I have Legos and Megablocks, as well as some generic blocks. They are working well with my awesome Blokpod. This is really a great way to get a lot of storage space in a singular unit. They even offer a 15 year warranty on the parts of this product. That actually blows my mind.

Color it up with Soucolor’s Premium Colored Pencils.

I love color. So it only makes sense that I like to use colored pencils. I homeschool my son, and nowadays almost all of the curriculum is on the computer. Colored pencils are inspiring and used for fun, but is also helps him with his handwriting skills. This Soucolor pack is a 48 pack of colored pencils. They arrive well sharpened and ready to roll. All of mine arrived in perfect condition as well. They are nontoxic, so your children can use them. These also have a 3.3mm core, and the colors are true. They cover pretty well while drawing. I did not have to go over an area to get coverage. I love the deep and vibrant colors. You can use these anywhere from doodling to art work. Premium pigments were used with these pencils, and you can tell. They write soft, and with easy coverage. The really cool feature to these pencils is that they were made out of reforested quality cedar wood. They have a hexagonal shape to them, and they are comfortable to hold and draw with. You really can’t go wrong with this set.

Solar power, perfect for homeschooling and more. – iLoonger’s T4 Transforming Solar Robot Kit.

I homeschool my 8 year old. I love kits like this one. They can really inspire and teach. I talk about solar power to him all of the time. But, seeing his face light up with excitement over the toy coming to life, was amazing. When we brought it out into the sun, and the dinosaur jaws started opening and closing, and the feet started moving, he glowed. We kept moving it from the sun to the shade, over and over. It was like an instant on/off switch, lol. When they say full sun, they mean it. We made the dinosaur option, but you can also make a drilling machine, robot, or insect. You can only make one at a time.

At first glance, when you open your kit, you may say to yourself, “Nope!” Let me tell you this, even though at first glance, the instruction book looks daunting, it isn’t. I was able to go through it and easily assemble the dinosaur. My son watched, lol. The gear box is the main assembly. The solar wires are fine, so if you have a bruiser like my son, you may want to do the gear box, and let your child finish the rest. This kit does not store power. It uses it immediately to power the product. You will get 1 green sheet of parts, and 1 grey sheet. You also get a little bag of parts and stickers. Each sheet is clearly labeled. For example, you will see A12 or B6. You have to look closely though. The letters and numbers are imprinted in the plastic itself. The loose parts are listed out in the beginning of the instruction booklet. To change forms, you will not have to redo the gear box, just the added pieces to it. The even show you how to undo your pieces. The instructions are all illustrated out, which makes it really easy to do.

My son knew about solar power. But seeing the dinosaur start moving, and quickly too, was impressive. He really was able to grasp the actual sheer power of the sun, first hand. You need to have full sun too. We went out in the evening too, when the sun was low, but it still worked when we aimed the solar panel at the sun. He had the most fun this way. It was so easy to use the shade as an off switch this way; on, off, on, off, over and over again, lol. This first hand truly teaches the power of the sun to your children. It makes solar power come alive for them.

Time to play in the dark with Mindscope’s Light Up LED GLOW PAD, Writing Pad, BLUE, with 3D Activity Kit, Bundle Pack.

Almost all children love things that glow. You combine that with drawing, and it becomes even more entertaining. This set is so much fun. You will get 1 glow board, 4 markers, 11 prints, and 3D paper glasses in your packages. Technically there are 6 prints, but 5 are double sided. Each marker has two color choices on it. So in each 2 marker set you get these colors: yellow, green, orange and pink. The ink is almost translucent, and the light makes them really glow. One side of the glow board has an acrylic plate that covers the print. You slide a print in from the top of the board. Then you take a marker and draw where you want to on the board. You can go crazy with your imagination, or draw like you are coloring in the print. The light button is the white button at the bottom of the easel. Every press will take it to a different LED light, until you get to the cycle of rotating colors. The LED light colors I saw on my pad are: red, blue, green, purple, white, yellow, aqua, and a rotation of the colors. My son really likes the light feature, and how much it makes the marker glow. It’s pretty wild. There is no weird odor to the markers at all. I love the functionality of the glow board. First off, you will need to install 3 AAA batteries on the back of the board. You need to provide the batteries, and a Phillips Head screwdriver to access the compartment. This board has a pull out tab that lets you stand it up like an easel. There are also two thick and sturdy suction cups to mount it to the fridge, mirror or window, if they wanted to. It’s a lot of fun, and well made. You will also find a spot on the back of the board, to snap in your 2 marker set. The 3D glasses are the clear kind. So if your family has the plastic ones in home, they can use those. Only one pair comes in this set. It has a minor 3D effect, which is fun for kids. This is definitely a product kids can entertain themselves with.
