Time to get creative. – E & I Trading’s Fabric Markers Crafts, 12 Pack.

I received a bunch of plain canvas bags recently. They make great gift bags, because they are reusable. The only downfall I found was individualizing them, so they weren’t so boring, all be it, practical, and ecofriendly. These fabric markers from E & I Trading Fabric are a fun way to personalize these bags. Now, I have to get used to writing on fabric with markers, lol. In this set I received 12 markers of different colors. Each marker has 2 tips on it too. There is a chiseled tip on one end, and a fine tip on the other end. I like having the two tips, it really makes it easier and more convenient to do your design. The colors included in the set are: Black, Vivid Red, Orange, Lemon Yellow, Deep Violet, Sky Blue, Forest Green, Chocolate, Grey, Grass Green, Brilliant Blue, and Pale Purple. Those are the actual names of the colors on the caps.

The colors are pretty true to the cap color, which was nice to see. I hate reaching for what I think is one color, but ends up being another color. These are permanent markers, but they are nontoxic. So, you can feel safe with your kids decorating with them. They could have a blast decorating their own T-Shirts.

Make sure, when you color, to place a notebook, or piece of cardboard, on the back side of the material. Or in-between, like I had to do with this bag. Otherwise the colors will run through to the other side. They recommend washing in cool water, and with a color friendly detergent. What I noticed, is that when drawing on fabric, the ink will run slightly with the fabric. Your lines will not be exact on all fabrics. It’s like drawing outside the lines, lol. The amount it will run depends on the weave of your fabric. A tighter weave will allow for a more exact look. With Halloween coming up, you can have a blast decorating trick or treat bags, and costumes with these. You can make banners for special events and more. You are really bound by your own imagination. These are easy and fun to use. Now I need more plain fabric to play with.

Fresh brewed at your table. – Cucina Tools’ ilFiltro Premium Stainless Steel Pour Over Coffee Dripper (2cup).

I have definite coffee nuts in my home. They definitely prefer fresh brewed too. Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to get that, and especially if you travel and work. We have and use a pour over coffee drip, on occasion. So, I know what I’m looking at. This particular product from Cucina Tools is a pretty stable product to use. This one in particular, is a 2 cup drip. They do also have it available in a 4 cup, if that’s what you need. This one is made out of 18/8 stainless steel, and the quality of construction is pretty sturdy. It’s thicker than the one I already have and use, so I am impressed with that. I love stainless in the kitchen. It is the material of choice of professional kitchens. It is durable, and easy to clean. It does not naturally harbor bacteria, fungus, or mold. And in case you are not used to dealing with stainless. It won’t alter the flavor of your coffee at all. You also don’t have to worry about chemicals leaching into your coffee with stainless. To use this coffee drip, you will need a stable mug to rest this on. You will also have to have access to hot water. For example, a microwave or hot water dispenser. After you get your mug ready, and place the coffee drip on top of it, add your coffee grounds to the drip. Then, slowly pour your hot water into the drip. It won’t all fit at one time, since it has to move slowly through your coffee. Even though metal picks up the temperature it’s introduced too, they have a silicone cover on the handle, so it’s safe and easy to remove the drip when it’s finished. Then, just knock the grounds into the trash, or compost bin. Wash it, and you’re done. It only takes a couple minutes for the coffee to be ready. If you grind your own grounds, do a coarser ground. The holes are real tiny, and you don’t have a large risk of grounds making their way into your coffee anyhow, though. It has a double layer of ultra-fine, stainless steel mesh. It really lets the flavor of the coffee be the show. Your cup of coffee will be more favorable then a regular coffee machine. But then, I do grind my own coffee too. The one con this coffee drip has going for it, is also a benefit. The silicone ring around the base that rests on your mug, comes off easily when washing it. That is the negative. It is really, really hard to get back on. The base is circular, so it wants to constantly pop off, as you are working it back on. But, it really allows for a stable position of the coffee drip, which is really important. They need to tweak the design a little. Overall, it’s a great working coffee drip. It’s durable, and makes a great cup of Joe.

Yes, staplers with power! – Sharpcarts’ 25 Sheet Capacity Electric Stapler.

One of my pet peeves are staplers. They are so annoying to me. Even if I am trying to put in one staple into one sheet of paper, I can manage to jam it up, or have it not fully go through the one piece of paper. I kid you not! Staplers are not my friend. I was beyond ecstatic to come across this automatic, electric stapler from Sharpcart. There is no squeezing involved, you just shove your pile of papers into the opening, and BAM, it staples it for you. Yes, it is an automatic stapler. There is nothing I do not love about this baby. It is small, but packs a punch. It actually has a 25 page capacity. It is electric, but can be run off of battery power also. Underneath the stapler, you will see the battery compartment. No tool is necessary to access the compartment either. It takes 4, AA batteries. Now, in the package you will get 1 instruction pamphlet, 1 AC power cord, and 1 stapler. Unfortunately, no staples are included. So, I guess there is one thing I didn’t like about it, lol. Now, for the 25 sheets of paper it’s capable of stapling with one staple. The paper cannot be heavier than 20lb paper. So, most everyday printing will be alright. If you are using a heavier stock, then you will have to adjust it accordingly. I stapled some thicker paper for my husband, and his packet had 13 sheets in it. It went through like butter. The irony here is that the staples I used in my new electric stapler, were the ones that came with my cheap, regular stapler. For some reason they can’t go through one sheet with a regular stapler, but put some power behind it with the electric stapler, and ba bam, it goes through many sheets at a time. See, Tim the Tool Man Tayler from the TV show, Home Improvement, was right. All you need is, More Power! This stapler is so easy to utilize too. There is a push button on the back of it that states, “PUSH”. Just press this, and the staple compartment will pop out. Just finish pulling it outward by hand, and fill it with staples. Push it shut, and then, either plug it in, or place batteries in it. You are ready to go. The plug is a regular 2 prong plug. Then you are good to go. You can’t miss the slot you push the paper into to staple. You might want to practice a bit on scrap paper, to get a feel for the correct area of where it actually staples on your paper. You can easily adjust the depth of where your stapler staples as well:

“You can easily adjust and lock-in the stapler’s throat depth with ease and accuracy between 0.25″ and 1.5″ by 1/10″ intervals. It gives you a total of 14 precise stapling depths to choose from.”

On each side of the stapler, at the back of the paper opening, you will see a black button like objust. Grasp each side, and then start pulling them toward the front of the stapler. This is how you adjust the depth. See, yet again, so user friendly. It really couldn’t get any easier. It uses sizes 24/6 and 26/6 sized staples. Now, the stapler is lightweight. The body is made out of ABS plastic. It is only offered in black, and its’ pretty sleek looking. You can staple very fast as well, which makes you more efficient at work. I am loving this new stapler, and I am very comfortable recommending it.

Shopping in style – No. 1 Supplements’ Trolley Bags Pack Of 4 with Insulated Cooler Bag.

I have been seeing those really cool shopping cart organizer bags for a while now. They are really an organizers dream. I have been wanting to see one in person. Get my hands on one, myself, to see what they are really about. So many things look great in ads, but then when you see them in person – meh! Well, now that I have one to try out, I still think they are so cool! They really are. This is a set of 4 bags. When they arrive, you need to unroll them, and ten just organize them. They have the handles all tucked into the Velcro, to make it a tighter roll, easier to ship. Once it’s organized, you can roll it up, and Velcro it shut. If you do it right, then when you get to the store, you can just open it up, and roll out the bags onto the carts’ sides. It really is that easy. The 4 bags are all pretty large, and one of them is an insulated bag for your frozen, and perishable goods. The bags are not all the same size. The Orange is the largest, and wraps around all of the other bags, when you are done with them. Then comes the green bag, then the red bag, and last but not least, the blue insulated bag. Each bag has Velcro along its’ sides to connect them to each other. They all have their own handles as well, for carrying them into the house, after your shopping is done. The only bag that velcros shut is the blue, insulated bag, that is to help ensure that your goodies stay cold. However, it can only be shut for the trip home, if you do not have that much in it. Unfortunately, they did not incorporate a flap closure, to allow more product in the bag. Maybe, with feedback, they will alter that. If you are handy, you can also make one for the bag. The material is thick and sturdy. It’s not a natural fabric at all, but since it reduces the waste, by alleviating the need for so many disposable bags, is still highly eco-friendly. The bottom halves of the three, non-insulated bags, is made out of a mesh material. Very reminiscent of beach bags. This helps to keep the weight down of each bag, and allows airflow to the food, which is important for produce. As it is, since the bags are pretty large, they will not be good for those with physical impairments, where it’s harder to handle a heavier bag. For example, my older mother, could not carry these larger bags full of food.

– Orange bag is 21” wide, 20” long, and 11” deep

– Green bag is 19” wide, 19” long, and 9 ½” deep

– Red bag is 15 ¾” wide, 8” deep

– Blue Insulated bag is 13 ½” wide, 15” long, and 7 ½” deep

I measured the bags, and got these measurements myself. For example on how much can fit in the orange bag: 6 2 liter Diet Coke Bottles and 1 large 3L bottle of Cranberry Juice. All of the plastic dowels, sewn into the bags, are 26” long. They are weatherproof, and sturdy, and rest along the basket sides, really well. If you break one, they are replaceable. They left the underside of the bar area open. So, you could easily remove the broken one, and replace it with another. You can always at least find wood dowels at the hardware store. I am very happy and impressed with these overall. The company even offers a lifetime money back guarantee! That’s pretty impressive. You do not always have to use these bags as a set, either. Just un-velcro one, and use it at will. They store so easily in home and in car. They are just too handy. So cuddly soft. – Homestarts’ Lil’ Jumbl Children Play Mat.

Talk about cute! I absolutely love this mat. It’s such a cute purple lamb. I no longer have a tiny one, but I have 3 kids. Fortunately, my husbands’ boss just had a little girl, so this purple beauty went to her. This mat is so, so soft. I can’t express enough how soft it is. It has this silky feel to it. The plush material is so fine, and that causes the luxurious feel. The mat is quite large as well. It measures out at 47” long and 35” wide. The thickness varies depending on where you are on the mat, but it is all so soft. The ears were sewn on well, and can be grasped, and crinkled, and chewed on. They make a crinkle sound when you manipulate them. This is a great tactile, and sensory stimulator. I can see this being used as a play mat, snuggle mat, and even a napping mat. It is that soft and comfortable. You can even use it as a stroller liner when it’s cold out. Beware, if you have a pet, they may try to claim it as their own, it’s that soft. Because it’s like a blanket, it’s easy to fold, store, and take with you. It had no odor to it upon arrival, at all. All of the stitching was done tight and on point. I had no stains, tears, or snags on this blanket at all. They even have it available in a blue bear, and orange lion. There are no little pieces to come off and be a choking hazard. It really is a great blanket/play mat.

A great way to be prepared. – BHBody’s Keychain USB Rechargeable Mini Necklace LED Flashlight.

My family is big into being prepared. It amazes me how many people do not have the basic items in their home, that can help them and their families in an emergency. From my past experience as a nurse, and in life in general, I can say that a lot of emergencies involve the lights going out, or occurring at night. I believe that you should have at least one flashlight per person, in your home, and extras for company, or flashlight failure. We have several different types per person, in our home. This particular flashlight necklace from BHBody is so unique. I love how it has entered the preparedness arena. People wear neck knives, and tools, and now we can add a stunning looking necklace flashlight. My guys love the look. I, as a female, absolutely love the look. It is a great size at 1 ¾”, it’s an easy size to wear. The chain and flashlight are made out of titanium alloy materials. I think the chain is stainless, but I’m not positive. The chain is a 26” chain, and slips right over my head. That is my personal measurement. So, there’s a great chance you won’t have to undo it to put it on and off. That is highly convenient. The length of the chain, also allows you to use the light, without removing it from your neck. Obviously, that won’t be convenient for everything, but it’s a great option. This is a twist on light to, which is quick and silent, in case you need to be silent. Just twist it clockwise to turn it on, and counter clockwise to turn it off. When the light starts to get weak, just plug it into your micro USB, and let it be. It will not overcharge, and there is an LED light that goes from red to green, once it’s fully charged. It took about 30 minutes for my light to charge. You need to supply your own micro USB. Now, the charging port is located under the top of the flashlight. Unscrew it like you are turning it off, but keep on turning until it comes off completely. You will see the micro USB port on the side of the light. This is pretty bright for a tiny light. It puts off 130 lumens of a bright, white light. I love LEDs. They are so much more user friendly. No poisonous chemicals to deal with. They do not break easily when you drop the light, and they last soooo much longer than regular bulbs as well. This LED is a CREE-XP-G2 LED, and is rated for up to 50,000 hours. No matter how many times I see a lifespan of a LED, it always impresses me. I am a bit of a LED nut, lol. What I also find impressive, is that this tiny light is also a dual mode light. It actually has low and high. High is the 130 lumens. When you start to turn the cap to turn it on, it will first reach low mode, and when you keep turning, you will reach the high mode. You can’t miss it. It has an IPX8 waterproof rating, which means that it is water resistant up to 2M, and has an impact resistance rating of 1.5m. So, this means you can use this light in the rain, and if you drop it from standing, it will be fine and dandy. The internal rechargeable battery is an 10180 Li battery. They state that you can change out the battery when it finally goes. The LED will last longer than the battery. I have dropped the light and ran the light under the faucet. I have had no issues with it. I absolutely love it. It would make a great gift, as it even comes in a fancy gift box, that looks just like a jewelry gift box. You do have the option of putting it on your key ring as well, so it’s not stuck as a necklace only. It’s quite the handy and usable flashlight. I really love it.

We have become fans of the stainless steel tumblers on the market, and use them daily. Stainless Steel is such a durable material. It does not rust. These koozies are insulated. They have a neoprene liner, and the bottom cap, also has a neoprene liner in it. This also helps keep the bottle seated, quietly in the koozie. I love that they added a neoprene external sleeve, to put the stainless bottle holder in. Each neoprene sleeve has a stainless steel bottle opener attached to it too. This is the ultimate holder for parties/bbqs outside in the summer. This set up definitely helps keep your drink colder, longer! I had an unopened bottle stay cold for 10 hours in this set up. And that external holder, makes it so easy to hold onto them as well. Since they attached the bottle opener to the holder, you also always have that handy as well. It really is a well thought out set. So far, I haven’t noticed any problems with the threading on the bottom opening. Could they improve on it, yes they can. But, it is working well so far. Otherwise, I have no complaints. It’s a great, and highly useful set. Perfect for gift giving.

Ping Pong!!!!!!!!! – Virginia Table Tennis Products’ Vigilante War Scythe Table Tennis Paddle.

We love ping pong in our home. We do need a new table though. My husband is a ping pong nut, and my Father, back in the day, was a ping pong champion, according to my mom. When I received this to review, it never crossed my mind, that my husband would be so excited about it. He absolutely loves it, as does one of my older sons. It is definitely not your average store bought paddle. This is nothing like it whatsoever. I love the name they gave it, Vigilante. How intense is that. You may feel like that too, when using this paddle. It will definitely give you an upper edge over your opponent, unless they have the same paddle, lol. It has premium sticky rubber sides to it. One side is red, and the other black. This helps give you a tighter spin, and more accurate hits. I guess they call that a padded paddle, lol. That’s a tongue twister. This paddle is used by professionals around the world, and is ITTF approved. The ITTF is the International Table Tennis Federation. Ping Pong is a pretty big deal worldwide. I find the paddle to be much lighter than regular beginner paddles. The handle is a little on the shorter side, and that is something I need to get used to. I’ve only used regular beginner paddles before. This is my first time using anything different. I also love that this paddle comes with a protective case. It fully zips around the paddle, just like a regular tennis racket cover. This will help keep the paddle nice and clean, and undamaged, the sticky sides can be washed off easily, if it gets too linty or dirty. The cover has some padding to it, as well as an attached wrist strap. It was made really well. There was no odor to it. The zipper is of good quality, and the stitching was all done tight and on point. Overall, I am really impressed with the whole set up. It’s very professional.

Pizza time!!!!!!! – Checkered Chef’s Stainless Steel Pizza Peel With Folding Handle.

We love to make homemade pizza in our home. I have insane food allergies, and we really can’t make frozen pizzas or even, takeout pizza, in our home. If we do not do homemade, we really have no other pizza we can eat. Fortunately, I make a mean sauce, lol. Making homemade pizza is such a great option. We ordered bulk, organic, non GMO flour, and we can really make a healthy pizza for our family. I feel so much better being able to purchase healthy ingredients, and making a yummy, but good for your product. Eating pizza doesn’t have to be an unhealthy choice, just a yummy choice. I have had a pizza peel on my wish list for a long time. I had a wood one in the past, but I really wanted a stainless one. You can use this in any type of oven, and even on pizza cooked on your grill. This pizza peel does measure out at 9 ½” wide and 13” long. The handle extends for use, and folds in for easy, easy storage. With the handle fully extended, it is 22” long. All you have to do is open the handle, and slide the stainless steel ring down over the handle to lock it in to place, and slide it up to fold the handles back in; so easy. It really is a clever design. To top it off, even with the non stainless handle, it is still quite dishwasher safe. The handle is very, very sturdy, and comfortable to hold and manipulate. It has a soft, rubberized coating on it, making it making it easy to hold onto. It doesn’t get hot to the touch, so you do not need to use a pot holder with it either. They call it their Comfort Grip Rubber Handle. It lives up to its name.

Even if you are not using the peel to take the pizza out of the oven, it is fantastic for separating the pizza from my stone. No matter what I put down on my stone, I always have my crust stick to it a little. This is so much better for that. I can remove it from the stone without cutting up the crust, just using a spatula. With a peel, you can turn or remove large items on a grill. Remove pies from your oven, or fresh breads you throw in the oven to heat up, and more. If you are short like me, you can use this to help reach into the oven and pull things to the front of the oven. I have burned myself more than once, removing a hot dish from the oven. You can grab the underside of a dish with this and pull it right to the edge, making it really easy to grab. This pizza wheel is very sturdy, and a solid piece of stainless steel. It is not bendy in the least. I really can’t say enough positive about it. It really is a great add to the kitchen.

Introducing The Hog. – SES Limited’s THE HOG 30oz Stainless Steel Tumbler.

Yesssssss, another stainless steel tumbler enters the arena. Please welcome The Hog! There are so many brands going head to head now. I love it. I am a huge fan of this tumblers. I heavily rely on my icy cold drinks throughout the day, to help keep the swelling in my throat down. I have frequent anaphylactic reactions. So, if the cup doesn’t live up to my expectations, I won’t use it anymore. I do own and use the original 30oz Yeti tumbler, so I know what the name brand does, and I expect the competition to live up to the Yetis’ level. This cup even arrives with some goodies. It comes with a stainless steel straw, and a splash proof lid. The splash proof lid has the slider that you can push shut to cover up the mouth/straw opening. This further helps to maintain either the coldest level, or heat level, depending on your drink. Even if you pour hot coffee into this tumbler, your hands will not get hot holding this double. You can thank the double walled and vacuum sealed construction. It is always comfortable to hold. The cup will not sweat and make rings on your wood table. My cup arrived in perfect condition. The top has a nice seal on it. It fits and seals very well. I love that they include the straw. I always use one, and the longer stainless steel straws have been harder to come by in the past. Stainless steel is the material of choice in a lot of professional kitchens. It does not naturally harbor fungus, mold, or bacteria. It’s a healthy, eco-friendlier material to use. This cup is quite durable. Mine arrived in perfect condition. The straw has a lip on the bottom edge, and this helps keep the straw from falling out of the cup, as long as you have the lid on it. Do not try to pull the straw out of the cup through the lid opening. I tried it, and the second time I did it, it sounded like I was cracking my lid. So, in that respect, I do not know if the lid will be as durable around the opening as other lids I have used. If you do not attempt the straw pull, you should be more than fine. The lid is clear, and seals so well onto the cup. You can actually hold the cup by holding onto the lid only. It did not budge for me. There is a tiny air hole in the lid. This allows you to have a carbonated drink in your cup, and allows you to maintain that vacuum seal. There is also a double gasket on the lid. They did use food grade stainless in the construction of this tumbler. It is BPA free as well. They state that the entire tumbler is free of all toxins, so it is healthy to drink out of. The lid is made out of BPA free Tristan plastic. The included straw has a large enough diameter, to allow smoothie drinking.

I filled the cup with ice, and I did have some ice and icy cold water in the cup 24 hours later, as promised by the manufacturer. It fits into my car cup holder perfectly. I can also use my add on handle that I use with my Yeti. The top diameter is also the same as the Yeti. You can interchange lids on it. I have used 30oz tumblers in the past, where the secondary lids you can order, would not fit on it. So, since the lids all eventually get fine line cracks in them with use, this is an important feature. Overall, I love the name of this cup. They have it proudly displayed with a raised texture on the stainless steel side wall; The Hog. I also find it to be reliable in keeping my drinks icy cool. Overall, it’s a true competitor that can hold it’s own.
