LinenSpa’s Weekender Queen Bedframe

We are renovating an older home, and are getting ready to move in. Since we have had our stuff in storage for a long time, we needed new bedding, and furniture. This Queen sized platform bed frame has really come in handy. I am only used to owning the low, traditional metal bedframes. This one is more modern, taller, and a lot sturdier. There are no large gaps to this frame. You really can literally put any type of mattress on it, and no box spring, or plywood is required. I measured the bedframe, and it indeed measures out at 14″ tall, 58″ wide, and 78″ long. The clearance under the bed is 13″. Since there are cross supports, you can fit 4 large containers under the bed for storage. Having extra storage space is pretty awesome. The company was not lying in their description; no tools are required to put this together. No skill set either, lol. You really just need to tighten up the leg supports. I like how it folds up. If you have to move frequently, (for example, if you are in the military), this is a great bedframe for you. It’s also great to store, and pull out to use with a nice air mattress, for company. Overall, this frame has turned out to be very well made, sturdy, easy to set up, and solid. We are really happy with it.

Serve in style. – Quality of Life’s Hiware 68oz Stainless Steel Thermal Coffee Carafe.

If you like to entertain, or enjoy your coffee and tea, then you might really enjoy this Stainless Steel Carafe from Quality of Life. It can also be used to keep cold drinks cold, longer too. This is a 68oz carafe. It is pretty easy to fill, and will help keep your beverage hot, a lot longer. Aesthetically, I think this is a gorgeous piece. It is very sleek, and modern looking, while still holding a traditional flare, in case you like to have the ladies over for tea. It is made out of 18/10 Stainless Steel, and has double wall construction for an insulation factor. It not only is double walled, but there is also a vacuum seal, which creates the great insulation factor everyone is getting to know and love with the Yeti Tumbler. This Carafe is very well made. Mine has no imperfections, and feels quite solid in hand. When you close the lid, just double check to make sure it’s pushed down all the way, to ensure the utmost insulation of your beverage temperature. The opening is large enough for me to pour boiling water into it from my kettle. I was concerned about the size at first, but I had no issues the first time I tried it. I tried it while holding a camera in one hand, so I could film it, lol, and the boiling hot water in the kettle, in my other hand. If I can pour the water into the carafe like this, successfully, and without a stray drip, then anyone can. Now, even though it is double walled, it still gets hot to the touch when you fill it with hot water. It doesn’t get hot enough to burn you, but it still gets hot. The handle stays cool to the touch though, so that is all that matters. The bottom doesn’t get hot either, so you can place it down on the table. About 2 ½ hours after I filled it with boiling hot water, the carafe was getting cooler on the outside, and the top portion was still a little hot to the touch. It really retains its heat. I was happy to see that this carafe is actually dishwasher safe. I wasn’t sure because of the seal, but it is. It is definitely restaurant quality too. I hand wash everything, and it’s easy to reach down into the bottom of this product, with a bottle brush. Stainless doesn’t naturally harbor fungus, bacteria, or mold, so it’s a great material to be used in the kitchen/food environment. Now, I did a long term test on the carafe with hot water. It is great for casual dining, and entertaining. It will not by any means keep your water hot, like coffee or tea hot, for a long span. I let it sit for 7 hours, with never opening it up. The water was tepid at that point, and I had to microwave it in my coffee cup, to make a cup of tea. I think it’s perfect for social entertaining. You can get your coffee, or tea, or pitcher of cold drinks ready, and be able to set the table and sit down and enjoy with your friends and family. It’s perfect for that.

The perfect way to entertain. – Copper-Natural’s Luxury Moscow Mule Copper Mugs – Set of 2.

This gal is a fan of copper. I love the warm color; it really calls to me. Fortunately, these Copper Mule Mugs, have really hit the scene and are so popular now. They are everywhere. No, you do not have to drink a Moscow Mule to own one, lol. Any drink will do. In matter of fact, it turns out drinking water out of a copper cup is very healthy for you. If you fill your cup the night before and drink the water in the morning it will have not only killed off some bacteria in the water, but adds some of the copper goodness to it. You can of course just drink water out of it throughout the day too. It’s called Ayurveda. Here is a quote from one article I read: “Scientifically speaking, when water is stored in a copper vessel for over eight hours, very small quantities of copper get dissolved in this water. This process is called “oligodynamic effect” and has the ability to destroy a wide range of harmful microbes, molds, fungi etc. due to the toxic effect it has on living cells.” Now, let’s talk about the Moscow Mule. It brought about the copper mug as it’s drinking vessel years, and years ago. The Moscow Mule is a Ginger beer concoction. A basic recipe I know is as follows:

8oz Ginger Beer

2oz Vodka

1oz Lime Juice

Pour over ice and serve. You can also garnish it with a lime slice.

Serving a drink in a real copper mug, like in this pure copper set from Copper Natural on Amazon, is pretty impressive, and a definite conversation starter. I love this set. It arrives with each much wrapped in a soft fabric, and I love the copper colored spoons they give you in the set. The spoons are a great addition. They state they are stainless steel, so you won’t have to worry about any rusting. They have just been plated in copper. The mugs are 16oz in size as well. I love the hammered texture. You will eventually get a ding and or dent in your mug, and the hammered texture hides these well. These cups are great to serve any drink. I live by the coast and enjoy islandy drinks. So, they contain vodka, but no ginger beer, lol. These mugs are made quite well. They are thick and sturdy, not bendy at al. They are comfortable to hold onto as well. I do want to war you that copper cops pick up the temperature of the drink inside it. So, ice cold drinks make the mug ice cold, and they don’t recommend hot drinks, because the cup gets really hot. I love hot mugs, since I am always cold, lol. So if you choose to serve a hot toddy, make sure you grasp it by the handle, not the body of the mug. They even give you a link to download a free ebook with drink recipes, if you want it. There are so many drink recipes online nowadays as well. The spoons they included in the set are nice and long, and help you stir your drink in style. For care of these mugs, I highly recommend hand washing them. It only takes a second to do, and it will help ensure it’s beautiful finish longer. Copper does change its patina over time. I love that with copper. This really is an affordable and gorgeous set.

Loving my Copper Moscow Mule Mugs from Kangaroo!

I love Copper Moscow Mule Mugs. I love the look, and we are copper fans. These are a little different than some on the market. They state 100% Copper in their name, but they are not copper, nope. These are stainless steel mugs, plated with real Copper. The handles are solid brass though, and quite handsome at that. It annoys me when labeling is misleading. Their real product description is on their packaging though. These mugs are 16oz mugs, and are a great size for a traditional Moscow Mule drink, or any other drink you would like. Just remember, with all metal mugs, they pick up the temperature of the drink you put in them. So, unless you like holding hot mugs, like me, I would stick to cold drinks in these mugs. I also recommend hand washing them with a non-abrasive soap and sponge. They do give you the Moscow Mule recipe on the packaging. I tweaked it a bit for what I am used to. They do not give an amount for lime juice, and I stated one. Here is it:

1oz lime juice

Ice

2oz Vodka

4-8oz of Ginger Beer they state 4 – 6, but most recipes say 8.

Then garnish with a lime slice.

These mugs are very handsome. Aesthetically, they are spot on. I do not feel that the metal alters the flavor of my drink at all. I use stainless steel straws all of the time as well. The rim is rounded, and comfortable on the lips. The inside opening of the handle is on the smaller side, but is comfortable to slide your fingers through it, and cradle the mug in your hand. Overall, I like these mugs. There are no chemical worries with these mugs. Copper is actually healthy for you, and is recommended to drink water out of one daily for health benefits. They will need some gentle care to them to make sure the plating doesn’t come off. These style mugs always impress. They are perfect for entertaining.
