The perfect pans! – Green Earth Frying Pan 3-Piece Set by Ozeri.

I love, love, love Ozeri pans. I use them all of the time. They are dependable, cook evenly, and are easy to clean. They are thick, and durable, and a joy to cook on. This set of 3 Ozeri pans really gives you all the sizes a family will need. In this set you will get 1 – 8” pan, 1 – 10” pan, and 1 – 12” pan. They are fairly deep too. Not shallow like the usual pans on the market. The coating on these pans is pretty awesome, if you ask me. They all have a honeycomb pattern and texture to it, and are coated with a ceramic non-stick coating. This coating is quite impressive. It is a green product too. The coating is 100% PTFE, PFOA and APEO free. Which means it is heavy metal and chemical free!!!!! I love that. I have an insane amount of life threatening allergies, mainly related to food, and all of the preservatives and chemicals used in the industry. I have no issues with these pans whatsoever. This set even comes with thick felt pads to line the pans, so you can stack them together for easy storage, and not have to worry about damaging the coating. These pans are also aluminum pans. You can cook anything in these pans. I have cooked homemade spaghetti sauce in the large one, browned roasts, cooked different kinds of meats, made grilled cheese, pancakes, hot dogs, eggs, and omelets, and more in these pans. All without issue. My spaghetti sauce didn’t even splatter which really surprised me. It normally splatters in the other pots I make it in. These pots are really easy to clean as well. Wash it like any other nonstick surface, with a non-abrasive cleaner. Just make sure you use a degreaser soap to make sure the surface was really cleaned of grease residue. A build up will eliminate the most wanted, nonstick qualities. I personally, have never had this issue, and I just use Dawn dish soap. The handle is thick, and very durable. It is also well attached to the pan. You will not get any bending with these handles. They are each attached by two heavy duty rivets. (that’s what they look like to me.) The handles are silicone coated, afford a great grip, and don’t get hot to the touch. And, if you are lucky enough to have an induction stove, you are in luck. These pans even work with an induction cook top. They have a magnetized induction stove safe base for rapid heat transfer. I have a travel, single burner, induction cook top, and I can use these on it! For those of you that want lids, they do sell the separately. I rarely want a lid for my pans, so I haven’t ordered one yet. They are glass lids though, and also sold on Amazon. I can tell you from my personal experience over the past year that I have owned Ozeri pans. The green ceramic nonstick coating they use is more durable and more scratch resistant that regular nonstick pans. They truly cook evenly, and do a great job on my food. I have nothing but love for this product, and truly recommend them.

Time to organize. – YoYo Moon’s Wall Mounted Mop and Broom Holder.

I am not new to this style of wall mounted broom holders. I like them. This one has not let me down in my expectations, either. You can use these to hold more than brooms too. This particular broom holder from YoYo Moon on Amazon, is a wall mount unit. It is made out of thick plastics, and comes with all mounting hardware needed. It has slots to hold 5 items, and hooks to hold an additional 6 items. You can store a lot of things on this baby if you mount it right, lol. Don’t add a lot of weight to it, if you haven’t mounted it to your studs. You can hang it on the back of doors, cabinets, in a garage, shed, and on walls. The screws are screwed in from the front of the unit, which makes it really easy to do too. They do include wall anchors, as well. The holes to mount it are big enough to shove the tip of a thin pen or pencil through them. This way you can mark where you need to screw the holes, once you have them level. They have great instructions printed right on the box. This really helps get those cumbersome and ugly everyday household needs, up and out of the way. It is even weatherproof, so you can hang it outside to organize pool tools, and or kid play toys. It is really handy. This organizer measures out at 16” long, and just under 2 ½” wide. It sticks out from the wall about 3 ½”, not including when you pull the hooks down. Anything that has a handle, like a golf club, handle end of a baseball bat, skimmer tools for pools, etc.. can fit in the slots. Each slot has a roller ball in it that adjusts to the width of the handle; a great design. Each gripper can hold up to 7lbs also. If you are looking for an organizer like this, this is a no brainer. It’s priced under $10.00, and delivered to your door. I love that. Simple pleasures, lol.

Double sided, and perfect. – The Checkered Chef’s Cutting Board.

We do a lot of cooking, and mostly from scratch, in our home. With cooking comes a lot of chopping, and cutting. We have several cutting boards in our home. They really are an indispensable product to have. In my home we use them to serve with, do crafts on, cut and chop food on, and more, lol. It is a great multi-use product to have, and that is why we have multiple. This particular from The Checkered Chef on Amazon, is really nice. It has moved up on my go to list for sure. I love the dual sides, and the non-slip edges, a lot! You know you are way too much of an adult, when you get excited about a cutting board, lol. The size is also great. It measures out at 14” long and 10” wide. You can actually prepare food for a family on here. You can cut your roast, chop a ton of veggies or fruit, and serve up a lot of cheese as well. If you are klutzy like me, you will also appreciate its durability. This cutting board is made out of polypropylene. It is thick enough so you won’t have to worry about warping. It does not leave gouges easily with regular chopping and cutting. I love how it’s double sided. One side is smooth and flat, while the other side has a trough around the perimeter, to catch the juices from you produce and meats. That really makes a difference, and so much less mess. My favorite part of this cutting board is the non-slip feet on it. It really does stay put. That really falls into the klutzy category, lol. If there’s a way to send something flying, I can do it. Fortunately, the corners are wrapped in the non-slip material, so it stays put on either side. I hand wash everything, but this baby is dishwasher safe. It’s a rugged, great all around cutting board. I couldn’t find anything negative about it.

The perfect grind. – AFL Product’s Manual Coffee Grinder with Conical Ceramic Burr.

We are big coffee drinkers in my family. We love drinking organic coffee. I have insane food allergies and we get it now and then. We buy whole bean and grind it ourselves, for even more yummy freshness. There really is a difference in flavor. We have an electric grinder, but I have to admit, manual grinders are better on coffee beans. My husband really prefers it, and so do I. It’s quieter, lol, and the manual grinders are easier to clean and maintain. They do a better job on the grind as well. There is a ceramic burr in this one. In our personal experience, ceramic lasts longer, and does an amazing job in grinding. It keeps it’s “sharpness” a lot longer than traditional metal. You can adjust and set your coarseness. Just do it before putting your coffee beans in it, lol. If you are using a coffee press, or putting it into a Keurig cup, and need a coarser grind. That is easy with this. I do it and use my Keurig cups for the most part. It works perfectly. This grinder is made out of stainless steel. It is pretty durable and perfect for travel. Stainless also doesn’t naturally harbor bacteria, mold, or fungus. Included in this set is the grinder, a handle, a storage bag, and a cleaning brush. You just need to provide the muscle power and the coffee beans. The handle does not screw on. It is a separate piece that just gets placed on top while you use it. The top cap comes off, and that is where you place your coffee beans. The ground coffee then falls into the lower portion of the unit, and gets stored there until you need it. You can see the ground amount in it. There are two clear panels in the lower compartment. This particular unit is also compatible with the Aeropress, if you have it. I do not own it, so I was unable to test that out personally. The bottom portion was hard to remove the first time out. I was able to rock it back and forth and get it off that way. After that one time, it was easy to do, like my other manual grinders. If you travel a lot for pleasure, or work, this is perfect for you. You can easily make fresh coffee on the go with this unit. I love that they included both the cleaning brush and the drawstring storage bag. They really did think of everything. After you grind your coffee, just use the brush to clean out the top portion and what is visible of the grinder. That’s all you have to do. It really takes no muscle at all to grind it. Even when I am weak after an anaphylactic reaction, I can turn this grinder. I think people hate to hear the word, manual, lol. Don’t scare away from it with this. It really is easy to do, and quick to do as well.

I am a LED nut, just love them! We have switched a lot of the household over to LED bulbs over the year, including outside, and we have noticed a drop in the electric bill. It was a lot larger than anticipated as well, so happy dance time. I just love them. Our kitchen chandelier takes the candelabra size, and all of our other lamps and lights take the standard size bulb. I really like these two from Atek. The candelabra bulb is a 6W LED, and the standard sized Atek bulb is a 9W LED bulb.

The candelabra bulbs are so well made. They are so solid in hand, it’s impressive. It’s definitely a different feel from the incandescent type, that I always feel like I am going to break. You get two in a package of these. They are very well packaged too, so no worries of them breaking during shipment. These LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours. That is a long time! This is a replacement for the traditional 40-60W incandescent bulbs, so they are pretty bright. These do not have a light filter on them, so they are best used in a shade situation, or they can be too bright on the eyes. This is not a dimmable light. But it is a really nice warm white light. They are a tad longer than the 30-40W equivalents. These measure out at 5.5” long from bottom to tip.

The regular everyday bulb has the eye filter built into it, so It affords plenty of light, but is still nice on the eyes. This is a 9W bulb and is equivalent to a 60-75W incandescent bulb. Which is pretty bright, and really lightens a room. It is rated to last 35,000 hours. I love how durable these bulbs are. I don’t have to worry about my kids goofing around. I had one of my sons break their compact fluorescent that was in their ceiling fan. Those have powdered Mercury in them, which is highly toxic. What a nightmare that was to clean up. You can’t vacuum it, because it kicks it and disperses it in the air. He didn’t sleep in his room for a week, and I had to throw so much away. These have no chemicals in them, last a long time, and are so durable. These are perfect for a child’s room. They offer a cool white light, and are non-dimmable.

Overall, these lights are solid, and offer bright, clear light. They are non-toxic and safe for the environment. They are very energy efficient, and will save you money on your electric bill.

Heavy Duty. – Bellemain’s Heavy Duty Aluminum Half Sheet Pan, 18″ x 13″ x 1″.

I do a lot of cooking, and use my baking sheets all of the time. I absolutely love my new addition from Bellemain. It is definitely durable. Today we used it as a tray to pound my son’s National Geographic Gemstone excavation kit, lol. It worked great. Since it has the 1” depth to it, the pieces of dirt didn’t fly off for the most part. This is a half sheet pan. It measures out at 18” long x 13“ wide, and 1” deep. It is an aluminum pan, and heavy duty. It is quite thick. There is no bendiness to this pan at all. It has a reinforced, encapsulated steel rim, which makes sure of this. This pan has great heat conductivity, and unless your oven has real hot spots, should do even cooking for you. I get even cooking in our oven with this pan. I do a lot of baking, and this is a great pan for that as well. Your cookies will come out yummy cooked on this one. It is a pretty solid. You can carry all your food out for grilling on this pan as well. You can hold it only by one end, and it doesn’t bend at all. It really is a great, well rounded, and multi-use pan. We’ll even be making our homemade pizzas on this one.

Perfect for entertaining. – GreatEast’s Bordeaux Wine Rack 3 Bottle Black.

I am really fond of this wine rack. It is a tabletop/countertop size, which is perfect. It’s nice to have a few bottles out for display. It’s also easier to remember what you have left this way too, lol. What I found was that some of our liquor bottles also fit on this stand. We have a really pretty Vodka bottle, and fits in this stand perfectly. You can make this stand a mini bar while entertaining, because of this. The quality of this stand is top notch. It is made out of solid steel with a black powdered finish. The welds were done well, and should last your lifetime. It is solid, not bendy or flimsy at all. It does indeed hold three bottles well. I love the design. The scroll work is so pretty, and the top is curved up, and is actually a handle. When your bottles sit in here, the liquid flows down to the cork, so it won’t dry out. I think the four ball feet are a nice touch. Size wise, it is very compact without sacrificing style: 10 ¼” wide x 9 ½” tall x just under 7 ½” deep. Even if you bump into it, it won’t knock your bottles out. I really can’t say enough about it. I really do love everything about it.

I am not new to grill mats. I am using a couple as stove liners as we speak, lol. It’s true though. I love these things. They are so useful, and in other ways besides grilling. This set of 2 from LoveU. on Amazon, meets my high expectations as well. I hate when I really like a product, and then you order a different brand, only to have your heart crushed. Well, not with this brand. They are a great quality and size. Each mat measures in at 20 inches x 13 inches. These mats are slick to the touch and are 0.23mm thick. These mats are made out of a 100% Food Grade Material, and are FDA and LFGB approved. They are non-toxic, and eco-friendly. They will not add any odd odors or flavors to your food at all. They are made out of a used glass fiber cloth and is coated with a 45% PTFE with special technology. This material cleans off so easily. Nothing really sticks to it at all. It has a great temperature range as well. It can go from -60F to a max of 680 °F. You can do candy making and chocolate making on these mats, easily. I love use them for meal prep. The size is larger than a cutting board, and I don’t always need to do a lot of cutting. It’s great to be able to lay all my food out in one area while preparing. Especially since these mats are so easy to clean. Today, I used one of the mats to prep the grilled cheese sandwiches for our soup and sandwich dinner. It was so much easier than stacking bread on multiple plates. I also love that since it is a nonstick mat, I do not have to add any oil or butter to grease it before putting my food down. That stops a lot of waste and calories too. These mats work really well on a grill. You can do fish and veggies on here beautifully. And again, easy clean up. I do love that part, lol. You can grill fruit, and even pizza on these mats too; anything you want. Besides food, you can use these for an arts and crafts surface for your children. These will definitely protect your table from markers, paint, glue, and glitter! And, yet again, these are so easy to clean up. Can you tell I love them, because I do. These are perfect for so much more than grilling. I think calling them Grill Mats really sells them short. This set even arrives with a free hair tie, to keep them bundled for easy storage. I thought that was so clever and perfect. I love everything about this product.

A great way to detect moisture lurking in your home. – Sgot’s Obecome LCD Display Digital Wood Moisture Meter.

Years ago I was a Real Estate agent for a while. It was important to make sure the inspector tested areas for moisture during a home inspection. Every since then I have realized about the importance of knowing these things. I think it should be part of your household tools. Water is so damaging to your home and health, if mold starts to grow because of it. This particular unit from Sgot comes with the 9V battery, and a great zippered storage case to keep it in. The instructions are written in broken English, lol, but are still easy to follow. This unit will give you a lower power indicator. If you are using this for your job, I suggest carrying an extra battery with you. It is simple to operate. The top of the unit comes off with a push of the button, and pull of the top, at the same time. The battery compartment can be accessed without a tool, so it’s quick and simple to place the battery in it. The power button is clearly marked on it as well. After you take the top off, turn it on, and place the spikes into what you are testing. They recommend about 5mm. Instead of questioning if you have a slow leak in your shower, test it. If you think the water is flowing to far toward your home, check your exterior walls, and see if they are holding moisture. And so on, and so on. The LCD screen on this unit is large and clear. It will work in temperatures ranging from 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 104degrees Fahrenheit. It is small, lightweight, and high portable. The measuring range is 5 – 40% with a +/-1% accuracy. When you are doing a wall check, let’s say, you want to work your way up from the base to see how far the water issue is running. This unit even has the ability to store some of your recent measurements. That is pretty handy if you are checking multiple areas. Overall, I am pretty happy with this unit. It’s easy to use and read. What else can you ask for.

I had always been fascinated by this type of knife sharpener. I am in a house of pro knife people, lol, and we have an array of sharpening devices. My older son, this year, bought himself a system like this, but with a large incorporated stand. This type of system really works a lot better than other sharpening systems. It takes a bit to get used to it, but once you do, you will like how well it works on your blades. This is a system that you glide across your knife’s edge. The stand is interesting. It is metal and lightweight. You really need to hold it when in use. I will probably have my husband make a wood base for it. It is not necessary at all. It’s just for comfort, lol. On the handles, are 4 holes. You choose your angle by inserting your chosen stone into one of them. Your blade gets clamped into this handle, so it doesn’t move on you at all while being sharpened. Both of these tasks are accomplished by screwing the knobs attached to both pieces. It is a no brainer to do. The four holes are on each side, so it doesn’t matter if you are right handed or left handed. You just flip it over to sharpen the other side as well. This method really does create a great edge on your blade. The stone literally follows the edge of your blade. I am really happy with it, as well as my husband. He has a knife that he has been using and abusing. His first time out with this sharpener, and he brought the life back into his blade with just using the extra course stone. My husband was quite happy indeed.
