Years ago I was a Real Estate agent for a while. It was important to make sure the inspector tested areas for moisture during a home inspection. Every since then I have realized about the importance of knowing these things. I think it should be part of your household tools. Water is so damaging to your home and health, if mold starts to grow because of it. This particular unit from Sgot comes with the 9V battery, and a great zippered storage case to keep it in. The instructions are written in broken English, lol, but are still easy to follow. This unit will give you a lower power indicator. If you are using this for your job, I suggest carrying an extra battery with you. It is simple to operate. The top of the unit comes off with a push of the button, and pull of the top, at the same time. The battery compartment can be accessed without a tool, so it’s quick and simple to place the battery in it. The power button is clearly marked on it as well. After you take the top off, turn it on, and place the spikes into what you are testing. They recommend about 5mm. Instead of questioning if you have a slow leak in your shower, test it. If you think the water is flowing to far toward your home, check your exterior walls, and see if they are holding moisture. And so on, and so on. The LCD screen on this unit is large and clear. It will work in temperatures ranging from 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 104degrees Fahrenheit. It is small, lightweight, and high portable. The measuring range is 5 – 40% with a +/-1% accuracy. When you are doing a wall check, let’s say, you want to work your way up from the base to see how far the water issue is running. This unit even has the ability to store some of your recent measurements. That is pretty handy if you are checking multiple areas. Overall, I am pretty happy with this unit. It’s easy to use and read. What else can you ask for.

I had always been fascinated by this type of knife sharpener. I am in a house of pro knife people, lol, and we have an array of sharpening devices. My older son, this year, bought himself a system like this, but with a large incorporated stand. This type of system really works a lot better than other sharpening systems. It takes a bit to get used to it, but once you do, you will like how well it works on your blades. This is a system that you glide across your knife’s edge. After you set the angle with the grit stone you choose, it’s just a natural movement across the blade. It is so simple to do. They give you 5 different options to choose from. The stand is interesting. It is metal and lightweight. You really need to hold it when in use. I will probably have my husband make a wood base for it. It is not necessary at all. It’s just for comfort, lol. On the handles, are 4 holes. You choose your angle by inserting your chosen stone into one of them. Your blade gets clamped into this handle, so it doesn’t move on you at all while being sharpened. Both of these tasks are accomplished by screwing the knobs attached to both pieces. It is a no brainer to do. The four holes are on each side, so it doesn’t matter if you are right handed or left handed. You just flip it over to sharpen the other side as well. This method really does create a great edge on your blade. The stone literally follows the edge of your blade. I am really happy with it, as well as my husband. He has a knife that he has been using and abusing. His first time out with this sharpener, and he brought the life back into his blade with just using the extra course stone. My husband was quite happy indeed.

We made the switch to stainless steel straws at least two years ago now. We love them. We only use glass or stainless straws now. With these stainless steel straws, you do not have to worry about any chemicals leaching into your drinks. They clean so easily with the included straw cleaning brush, and are so, so durable. The 18/8 stainless steel straws from Eco at Heart, are thick and highly durable. You are not bending these, lol. You can even use them in your Tervis Tumbler. You could use them in your 30oz Yeti cup as well, if you ordered the new clear top that has the sliding closed lid. These are too wide with the regular top. These straws arrive in eco-friendly packaging; cardboard. It’s actually very attractive packaging. In your package you will receive 5 – 8 ½“ straws and 1 straw cleaning brush. The cleaning brush slides right through the straw, and really cleans the inside of them. These straws are dishwasher safe as well. The diameter of the straws is more than wide enough for smoothies and milkshakes. I have severe food allergies, and my main meals are smoothies, since my throat is always so swollen from frequent anaphylactic reactions. They are comfortable on the lips, and to drink out of. The very first time we used stainless straws, I think we only bumped our teeth once on them, and haven’t done it since. My youngest is a mad straw chewer, so these are really much healthier for him to use. He can’t chew these, and ingest all of those harmful chemicals. These straws were not coated in any chemicals, so they are obviously toxin free; BPA free of course, as well. Included with the straws is an informational sheet. On that is the link to download your free e-book on smoothies. You can’t beat that! They are metal and pick of the temperature of the drink. So, if you are hanging outside in the summer, make sure you touch it first, to make sure it didn’t get hot from the sun. I have never had this issue, but it’s a point I wanted to bring up. Overall, I love these straws. They are eco-friendly, safe to drink out, and will last a long, long time.

I really like the message this necklace states. It states that ”Strong is Beautiful”. Yes, there is a weight charm, but that is an obvious symbol of strength. I believe this necklace can be worn by any woman or girl who is strong. Although, commitment to physical health is also a great attribute! Females can be strong in any way. There is strength in being true to yourself, not bowing down to peer pressure. You can be strong in dealing with illness, and struggle. Keeping your head up high in times of diversity. A survivor of domestic abuse, and more, as well. Strength in women should be a loud and proud characteristic. Somehow, a lot of girls and women, are afraid to be strong in a more male dominant world. They are under some perception that men won’t find them attractive if they show their strength. I believe strong women are beautiful.

This necklace is so pretty in person. It is more demure than the pictures show on the ad page. It is a very feminine looking necklace, while proudly stating who you are. The two charms are separate from each other on the chain. The wording is very clear on the charm, and the weight is really nice looking. The necklace and charms are made out of 925 Sterling Silver. They have a beautiful polished look and shine to them as well. The chain closes vis a traditional circular spring clasp. Mine was done perfectly, and performs flawlessly. This is a great length to wear with a v-neck shirt, 18 inches. It would be great with any neckline, really. Nothing was cheaply made on this necklace. It is so pretty in person. It would make a great gift. Besides being very affordable for 925 Sterling Silver, it arrives in a really pretty velvet jewelry gift box, with a microfiber jewelry silver cleaning cloth. The much needed bling for your finger. – Parati’s Women’s 18K Rose Gold Plated CZ Cut Diamond Anniversary Engagement Ring.

What girl doesn’t love sparkly jewelry. I’ve never met one. This particular ring by Parati has wonderful sparkle and shine to it. I love how it is Rose Gold plated, and 18KT Rose Gold plating in fact. It really makes it an affordable, but really pretty ring, for almost any lady. I ordered it in the size 7 so I could wear it on any finger. I also have a ring sizer. I find this ring to be true to size. That is always a relief when ordering online. I hate wasting money and time. They currently offer this ring in both White Gold, and Yellow Gold plating as well. The sizes they are offered in currently range from 5 – 9. There is one large stone on this ring, encircled with smaller ones. The smaller ones even go partially down the band. All of my settings were done well. I do not have any loose or chipped stones. They used Cubic Zircon for the stones. It turns out that it is harder than Crystal, which is a fun fact to know. The large, centered stone, is set up higher from the smaller ones. It makes for a grand look. If you were pressed for money, this could easily be your engagement ring or wedding band; it’s that pretty. I do not know what metal alloy was used in the fabrication of this ring. Since it is Rose Gold plated, it hasn’t bothered my skin. It has so much sparkle to it, especially when the light hits it just so. It makes a great gift, as it arrives in a very pretty velvet ring box. Just perfect for gift giving.

Tempered protection. – Foxx Electronics’ Samsung Note 5 Tempered Glass Screen Protector.

We are not new to tempered glass phone screens. My husband uses them all of the time. I am quite impressed with them. They literally become another screen for your phone. They are very clear on, while providing great scratch and impact protection for your real, and very expensive screen. This particular screen protector, for the Galaxy Note 5, from Foxx Electronics has a 9H rating. It does not diminish your touch sensitivity at all. Your screen will continue to be bright and clear. This particular protector comes with a dust removal sticker, a microfiber cleaning cloth, and an alcohol prep towelette. Just make sure your screen is really clean before applying it. Then place it on. It gets bubbles like a regular screen protector. You need to push them out the same way. You can lift it up and reapply it if necessary. These tempered glass screen protectors are also harder to scratch than regular, flexible protectors. That is our personal experience. My husband likes using them because of this. His jobs are very hands on, and his phone gets knocked around. He relies heavily on a solid screen protector and phone case. He even just moved his old tempered glass screen protector to his replacement phone he just got from T-Mobile, that is how usable they are. He has switched to this one though, since the other one was about a year old.

Time to sight in. – YXGOOD’s Red Dot Laser Bore Sighter Kit for .22 to .50 Caliber.

You say the words, Laser Bore Sighter, and I get excited, lol. I mean, you are talking about firearms, and that’s out thing. We love the 2^nd Amendment in our home. It’s also a sport all sexes can do together. My husband and I have a lot of fun together sharing our love of firearms. If you are planning on mounting a new scope, you know that you will need one of these. I really need a new scope, so this arrived at the perfect time. This particular one from XYGoods arrives nicely packaged, and is capable from sighting anywhere from a .22 to a .50 Cal. You can also use this for 20 and 18 Gauge Shotguns. The instruction pamphlet is very clear to follow. The only thing they do not mention is how to insert the batteries, lol. You place them in negative side facing out. This laser bore sighter, and its components are made out of metal. They include the screwdriver and Allen wrench needed to operate it. They also include 2 sets of batteries. One set of mine didn’t work. I didn’t care, because one set did work, and that’s all that mattered to me. They include for different attachments which are equivalent to the different bore sizes. Just attach the appropriate one, turn on the laser sight, and insert it into your firearm. They tell you in the pamphlet how to adjust for the offset of the scope and barrel. If you are shooting at a lesser distance, for ex. 20-50ft. If you are shooting over that. You shouldn’t have to make any compensation between 50-100ft. This laser is durable, bright, and easy to operate. I am very happy with it overall.

Stepping out in style. – Best Envision Store’s Men’s Fashion Sunglasses Sport Outdoor Polarized Eyewear.

My husband loves glasses in the aviator style. It seems to be his go to style. So, these fit the bill, and are for him. I love the modern twist on these frames from the Best Envision Store on Amazon. Besides being polarized, which is all I will wear, they have a really nice design added to the arms. Part of each arm is a long, black, metal cylinder with holes cut out. Love the design. The frame itself is also black and silver tone metal. They are very sharp looking. The lenses are black, not mirrored. The polarization works well. These glasses arrive with a little test picture. When you look at the picture with the glasses on, you can see the fish jumping out of the water. You can’t wee it without the glasses on. They also include a generously sized microfiber cleaning cloth with the glasses. It really is the perfect cloth to clean the lenses with. That’s pretty much all we use on our lenses. These lenses are made out of Polycarbonate material. A common lens material. It is lightweight and pretty durable. They state it is more scratch resistant than optical glass. We like the size of these glasses. They are made for the average sized face and nose. They fit my husband very well, and do not slide at all on his nose. There are also nose pads on these sunglasses. They are clear, and really help the fit and comfort of these sunglasses. They even include a great storage case. It is a what I call, a soft sided firm case, lol. It’s very sporty, and has an attached carabineer clip. That always makes carrying them with you anywhere, much easier. The black case, is designed with a thin, metal strip that wraps around the center of the case. The silver metal has the Eyemate name written on it, and really stands out on the black case. The lenses also offer a higher impact resistance than optical glass, as well. Overall, the fit and make are pretty nice. We really can’t find any negatives with these glasses at all. The price point these are at for a pair of aviators that are polarized is fantastic. They even offer UV400 protection for full protection when you are out an about. I am comfortable recommending these sunglasses.

A different way to diffuse. – Innovation Product’s Electric Fragrance Oil Lamp, Essential Oil Diffuser with 35 Watt Halogen Bulb and Touch Dimmer Switch.

I love essential oils. I use them all of the time. I normally use essential oil diffusers to disperse them throughout the room. This light is different. It’s a light/fragrance lamp. You can use it without the plate, as just a nice accent lamp/nightlight. This lamp comes with a 35W halogen bulb, and a glass plate. The power cord is attached. You can use it with or without the plate. It is not recommended to leave the plate on longer than 8 hours. It does get hot. It is also not recommended to place oil on the plate if it’s already hot. The light does get warm to the touch. Little ones might burn themselves on it. This would be something I would recommend placing on a counter top, away from the edge, if you have little ones, or inquisitive pets. It doesn’t feel hot to me. I can wrap my hand completely around it. I can also lift the plate up, and hold it on the palm of my hand when heated up. It is ok to use essential oils on this unit. I did some research to make sure it was healthy to do, and it’s fine. Only use pure essential oils, for healthy benefits. It is a nice, all natural way to freshen up your home. Most store bought air fresheners are so unhealthy for you. Right now I have lemongrass on my plate. I like to use Lavender and Eucalyptus a lot, as well. You also want to make sure the plate is cooled off before washing it. Otherwise, you will have a cracked plate on your hands. The attached cord to this lamp is a 2 prong plug. So, it is handy to be plugged in anywhere. It also has the power/dimmer switch attached to it. It is placed approx. ½ way down the cord. The cord is just under 4 feet long. The turn knob is pretty cool. It is a lot larger than I am used to. It is so easy to turn, and dim or brighten the light. You can turn it on and off here as well. The lamp has a honeycomb like pattern built into it It throws a really pretty light pattern. I received it in pink, but they currently have it available in purple as well. The unit is made well. It’s thick and solid, not easily broken. I placed about 5 drops of oil on the plate at a time. It lasts for a few hours that way, which is a good amount of time. With the plate on it, it is only 4 ½” tall. So, it’s a very convenient size. I love it as a nightlight. It’s a really pretty light.

My son loves his new light. – Innovation Product’s Portable LED Folding Desk Lamp.

We love LED lighting in my home. It is a bright and clear light. No more harmful, poisonous chemicals in our lighting, with LEDs. My older son shattered a compact fluorescent in his room a while back. He had to sleep in the living room for a week. They have mercury powder in them. It cannot be vacuumed up. The whole episode was horrifying to me. LEDs are safe to have around your family, and that is priceless to me. This is a really cute and fun light from Innovation Products. It looks like a can but extends into a light/night light. It has an internal 500mAh battery, and maintains a charge. So, you can keep it charged up, and your child can carry it with them into a tent, down the dark hallway, camping, and bedside at night. It is only a 3W light, but really is bright. It does make a great reading light, and task oriented, work light. The light charges via a USB cord provided. It is not a micro USB cord, so don’t lose it, lol. After it is charged, slide the top half of the can upwards. Then fold the light out. You will see a white button down towards the base. The first press turns on the reading light. The second press turns off the reading light, and turns on the night light. This light is so cute! It comes out the top of the can and displays a star pattern on the wall or ceiling. The LED light rotates through colored LEDs. We love it. It really is an eco-friendly way for your kids to use a night light. Even with the Santa on the outside of the can, it can still be used year round. Just place a vinyl sticker or regular sticker over the small Santa. My son loves it as is, lol. He absolutely hates the dark, and this is small enough for him to carry anywhere. It is only just over 6 ½” tall. The night light feature is really so cute, and the reading light is bright and really offers a lot of light at only 3W. It really is a welcomed addition to our home.
