The chemical free way to rid your home from pests. – Bestrix’s Makony Ultrasonic Pest Repellers.

I am a big supporter of the electronic insect repellers. We have noticed a difference since we have started using them. There are many different kinds, and some are variable and some just put off one type of signal. If you use a mixture throughout your home, it’s best to move them around now and then. I guess bugs can get used to one signal, from what I’ve read. I have a mixture throughout my home. This particular set from Bestrix is a pack of 3. I do always use more than suggested. I hate bugs! They say that these 3 will cover up to 4000 sq, feet. I do not have a home that big, so I cannot test that out. Now, each unit itself will cover a sq, foot area of 1,350. If you have a bunch of small rooms, though, put one in every room, and try to put them on an outside wall. The vibrations from the signal travel on the wires and pipes in the wall, created that barrier from the outside where bugs will travel in from. Really large rooms may require 2, especially if there already is an existing pest problem. These are silent to the human ear, and will not pester house pets, unless you collect insects and rodents. Then, that might be a problem. The great thing about these for me, is that with these there is rarely a need to spray bug spray in the home. With my allergies, the less chemicals in the home, the better. That is true for everyone. The three in this set are identical. They have a regular 2 prong plug, and use conventional 110V. These aren’t too large, too, so if you plug it into the bottom plug of your outlet, the top plug is still quite usable. You do not want to hang them too close to the floor. You want to make sure there is enough clearance for the item, and the vibrations to be able to travel through the wall. I have purchased electronic pest repellers that blocked the top plug, and that was so annoying. I need all my outlets, thank you very much. The only downside to these is that it doesn’t happen overnight Give it 2-3 weeks when you first try using them to see real results. Will you still get some bugs, especially on stormy days, yes. They are going to come in. Will you get way less, we did. I like the blue light on this. Most of my other ones have a red LED light. The blue is more soothing, and it’s easy to see, and let you know it’s still working. If the light is off, check it. More than likely someone bumped it, and it actually pulled out of the outlet a little bit. These are a great eco-friendly alternative to using chemicals in the home, especially if you have little kids and pets. I am definitely using these in my home.

Another great tumbler. – Simple Modern Vacuum Insulated 30oz Stainless Steel Tumbler.

Let me tell you, we had been converted Tervis people. Then, my son moved us over to the Yeti stainless cups. We have officially been converted over to the Yeti side, lol. I have tried other competitor brands, but this is my first 30oz competitor cup. I use my 30oz Yeti every day! I just love it. So, I was very, very curious and excited about testing out this competitor. I love the challenge. This mug looks just like my Yeti. It has a smaller bottom area, so it can fit in my car cup holder. I will not use a cup, if it doesn’t fit in my car. My throat swells shut all of the time due to numerous life threatening allergies. My throat is always swollen and sore. I always have a cup fully of an icy drink to sip on, 24/7. My throat wakes me up during the night, and I sip on the icy drink. It really helps. So, it is very important to me that my cup can keep my drink cold for an extended period of time. I did an ice test on this cup first thing. I filled it to the top with ice, and then placed the top on. The top has silicone rings around it, and it creates a great seal. Mind you, there is a drinking hole in the lid. You can fit a narrow straw through this. I have thin stainless steel straws that we use with these cups. After 25 hours, there was actually still some ice left in the cup. It performs as well as my Yeti, which makes me very happy!!!! It even comes in 8 different color choices, for no additional cost. It is made out of 18/8 stainless steel, and has the double wall construction. It is toxin free, chemical free, and safe to drink both hot and cold liquids out of it. My husband took his coffee to work with him. He had a 3 hour drive to the office, too. He is very happy with how this cup is performing with hot liquids. The double wall construction is great. I wouldn’t have it any other way. The cup never sweats. It is comfortable to both hold and drink out of this cup. You can put steamy hot coffee right from the Kuerig in here, and not feel the heat through the cup. We haven’t been able to find any negatives with this cup. It has held its own against our Yeti. Enjoy.

Chemical free pest deterrent. – Ivation’s Ultrasonic and Electromagnetic Indoor Plug-in Pest Repeller.

I am a real fan of this ultrasonic/ electromagnetic pest controller. We have been using devices like this one for about two years now. They really do work. I was really excited to be able to review Ivation’s Ultrasonic and Electromagnetic one. I have had nothing but luck with their electronic products to date. The price point of their product hasn’t made a difference either. This particular unit from Ivation has the variable option, which I really like. Studies have shown that pests can get used to one signal, and they will eventually come back in. With the variable, you have a better chance to make the big bad bugs stay away. If you already have some fixed pest control units, rotate them through the home with a variable one like this, in its place. On each side of this unit is a switch. One side has the option to use the night light, or to not use the night light. The light is a red LED. It does not get hot in use, and is very quiet to run. I like the variable setting. This is what I like to use when available. You need to place this on an outside wall, in order to have it be able to keep bugs out of the home. It sends the pulses throughout the wall via the wiring and pipes. This particular unit can ward off pests for approximately 5000 sq. feet. I have no way to est that. I do not live in a house that large, lol. I do however place more than one in my home. I hate bugs, and rather have more than one. My mom could not stop getting palmetto bugs and little ants in her home. Her home is very clean, and up on stilts, lol. Poison sprays and traps didn’t help. We noticed a huge difference after we started using deices like this. I will always use them now. I have a son I do not want to use a lot of poisons around. I am deathly allergic to everything, so these are so much better for me as well. The ultra high frequencies are inaudible to people as well as your pests. Since there are no chemicals, this is also so much safer to have around your pets as well. It measures out at 3” wide and deep, and 5” long. It is a regular two prong plug as well. I am liking this one a lot. I like the power and range it has. I love how easy it is to set. You don’t have to go through a serious of steps to use the variable setting. I have others that you do, if you unplug it for a bit, to use the outlet for cleaning purposes, etc. I absolutely recommend this product.

Handmade LED mason jar candle light. – HAIMI’s Led Candle Light.

I love LEDs, and I love candles. This particular one is so cute too. If you are a mason jar nut, then you will really love it too. It’s a mini mason jar with screw on lid and LED tea light inside of it. So, whenever the LED candle runs out of life, you can easily replace it, and keep on rolling with this one. The jar measures out at 3 ½” tall and 2 ½” wide. It was done in the country/shabby chic styling. It has grape vines wrapped around it, and a sprig place inside with the tea light too. The one inside the jar can be a little annoying, lol. You need to pull it all the way out to remove the candle, to turn it on. I keep thinking I’m going to break it doing that, but so far so good. LEDs are so great. They are durable, eco-friendly, and last such a long time. The batteries will give out before the LED in the tea light. The installed batteries have a 30-hour lifespan, and can be replaced. It uses 3 little button batteries.

Each candle is handmade, and so may look a little different from the picture. You can use these anywhere, and around anyone. The give off no heat, or scent; just lovely light. You can place this on your desk at work, in the bathroom, and bedside. It is so portable. You can travel with it, and use it in your hotel room. You can use it camping too. This is nice to use out on your porch as well. If you get a few, you can safely place them throughout your home during a blackout. I think these would be so great on a mantle during the holidays with garland wrapped around them. Since they don’t use real fire, or put off heat, they are so safe to use. If you have people with bad allergies or asthma in the home, these are the healthier way to have soft, relaxing candle light in the home. You can even think receptions, banquets and weddings with these. You can’t use real fire at most event halls nowadays, due to insurance and fire hazard issues. With these, you’ll be good to go. I am really enjoying my candle from Haimi.

The perfect grind. – AFL Product’s Manual Coffee Grinder with Conical Ceramic Burr.

We are big coffee drinkers in my family. We love drinking organic coffee. I have insane food allergies and we get it now and then. We buy whole bean and grind it ourselves, for even more yummy freshness. There really is a difference in flavor. We have an electric grinder, but I have to admit, manual grinders are better on coffee beans. My husband really prefers it, and so do I. It’s quieter, lol, and the manual grinders are easier to clean and maintain. They do a better job on the grind as well. There is a ceramic burr in this one. In our personal experience, ceramic lasts longer, and does an amazing job in grinding. It keeps it’s “sharpness” a lot longer than traditional metal. You can adjust and set your coarseness. Just do it before putting your coffee beans in it, lol. If you are using a coffee press, or putting it into a Keurig cup, and need a coarser grind. That is easy with this. I do it and use my Keurig cups for the most part. It works perfectly. This grinder is made out of stainless steel. It is pretty durable and perfect for travel. Stainless also doesn’t naturally harbor bacteria, mold, or fungus. Included in this set is the grinder, a handle, a storage bag, and a cleaning brush. You just need to provide the muscle power and the coffee beans. The handle does not screw on. It is a separate piece that just gets placed on top while you use it. The top cap comes off, and that is where you place your coffee beans. The ground coffee then falls into the lower portion of the unit, and gets stored there until you need it. You can see the ground amount in it. There are two clear panels in the lower compartment. This particular unit is also compatible with the Aeropress, if you have it. I do not own it, so I was unable to test that out personally. The bottom portion was hard to remove the first time out. I was able to rock it back and forth and get it off that way. After that one time, it was easy to do, like my other manual grinders. If you travel a lot for pleasure, or work, this is perfect for you. You can easily make fresh coffee on the go with this unit. I love that they included both the cleaning brush and the drawstring storage bag. They really did think of everything. After you grind your coffee, just use the brush to clean out the top portion and what is visible of the grinder. That’s all you have to do. It really takes no muscle at all to grind it. Even when I am weak after an anaphylactic reaction, I can turn this grinder. I think people hate to hear the word, manual, lol. Don’t scare away from it with this. It really is easy to do, and quick to do as well.

I am a LED nut, just love them! We have switched a lot of the household over to LED bulbs over the year, including outside, and we have noticed a drop in the electric bill. It was a lot larger than anticipated as well, so happy dance time. I just love them. Our kitchen chandelier takes the candelabra size, and all of our other lamps and lights take the standard size bulb. I really like these two from Atek. The candelabra bulb is a 6W LED, and the standard sized Atek bulb is a 9W LED bulb.

The candelabra bulbs are so well made. They are so solid in hand, it’s impressive. It’s definitely a different feel from the incandescent type, that I always feel like I am going to break. You get two in a package of these. They are very well packaged too, so no worries of them breaking during shipment. These LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours. That is a long time! This is a replacement for the traditional 40-60W incandescent bulbs, so they are pretty bright. These do not have a light filter on them, so they are best used in a shade situation, or they can be too bright on the eyes. This is not a dimmable light. But it is a really nice warm white light. They are a tad longer than the 30-40W equivalents. These measure out at 5.5” long from bottom to tip.

The regular everyday bulb has the eye filter built into it, so It affords plenty of light, but is still nice on the eyes. This is a 9W bulb and is equivalent to a 60-75W incandescent bulb. Which is pretty bright, and really lightens a room. It is rated to last 35,000 hours. I love how durable these bulbs are. I don’t have to worry about my kids goofing around. I had one of my sons break their compact fluorescent that was in their ceiling fan. Those have powdered Mercury in them, which is highly toxic. What a nightmare that was to clean up. You can’t vacuum it, because it kicks it and disperses it in the air. He didn’t sleep in his room for a week, and I had to throw so much away. These have no chemicals in them, last a long time, and are so durable. These are perfect for a child’s room. They offer a cool white light, and are non-dimmable.

Overall, these lights are solid, and offer bright, clear light. They are non-toxic and safe for the environment. They are very energy efficient, and will save you money on your electric bill.

We made the switch to stainless steel straws at least two years ago now. We love them. We only use glass or stainless straws now. With these stainless steel straws, you do not have to worry about any chemicals leaching into your drinks. They clean so easily with the included straw cleaning brush, and are so, so durable. The 18/8 stainless steel straws from Eco at Heart, are thick and highly durable. You are not bending these, lol. You can even use them in your Tervis Tumbler. You could use them in your 30oz Yeti cup as well, if you ordered the new clear top that has the sliding closed lid. These are too wide with the regular top. These straws arrive in eco-friendly packaging; cardboard. It’s actually very attractive packaging. In your package you will receive 5 – 8 ½“ straws and 1 straw cleaning brush. The cleaning brush slides right through the straw, and really cleans the inside of them. These straws are dishwasher safe as well. The diameter of the straws is more than wide enough for smoothies and milkshakes. I have severe food allergies, and my main meals are smoothies, since my throat is always so swollen from frequent anaphylactic reactions. They are comfortable on the lips, and to drink out of. The very first time we used stainless straws, I think we only bumped our teeth once on them, and haven’t done it since. My youngest is a mad straw chewer, so these are really much healthier for him to use. He can’t chew these, and ingest all of those harmful chemicals. These straws were not coated in any chemicals, so they are obviously toxin free; BPA free of course, as well. Included with the straws is an informational sheet. On that is the link to download your free e-book on smoothies. You can’t beat that! They are metal and pick of the temperature of the drink. So, if you are hanging outside in the summer, make sure you touch it first, to make sure it didn’t get hot from the sun. I have never had this issue, but it’s a point I wanted to bring up. The safe way to have candle light. – Top Race’s LED Color Changing Real Wax Candles, Flameless Weatherproof Candle Lights with Remote & Timer.

Candles, candles, candles! I love them. These real wax, battery operated candles are fun to use. You have no fire worries, or burn worries around your children and pets. You can fall asleep with them on, or walk out of the room, and not have to worry. A great piece of mind while enjoying a candle like experience. My youngest is currently afraid of real candles. It’s not even worth lighting one, because he freaks out, and it’s no longer relaxing to have going. Another plus side of battery operated candles, is that you don’t have to worry about what’s burning from the candle into your air. This set from Top Race is pretty nice. You get three candles and 1 remote control in your package. Each candle requires 3 AAA batteries that you have to supply. No screwdriver is needed to access the compartment. The battery for the remote is included. Just pull out the plastic from the battery compartment before use. On the bottom of each candle is also an on/off switch. You need to turn them on here to use them. You can leave that in the on position and turn them off with the remote. Remote controls make everything better. The candles are different sizes, which makes for a nice trio: 4”, 5”, and 6”. These are pillar candle style, and are approx.. 3” across. Each candle has LEDs in it, and afford 12 different colors. With the remote you have the choice of twelve different colors. You can have them rotate through the colors, or stay on a solid color of your choice. You can also have them be solid on, or in a simulated flickering mode. The flickering mode is actually very enjoyable. The white LED and the yellow LED makes these look realistic while on. I love that the exterior is done in a real wax. They are fragrant free, but you can smell the wax when you first open them up. One of my candles had some cracks in it upon arrival. I received them to review, so I did not return them. You can obviously exchange them if that happened to you. When on, these do not put off an odor. The do not even get warm to the touch. If you use rechargeable batteries, then you really have an eco-friendly product here. These are great for relaxing evenings, romantic evenings, power outages, by your bathtub, outside on your patio, and more. They are weather friendly, so you can use them outside. You can even set these on a 4 or 8 hour timer. You are really going to find these enjoyable. I know I have.

So eco-friendly. – iZEEKER’s bent stainless steel straws.

This pack of straws is awesome. I love that it is an 8 pack. It is a useable size for a family. You don’t have to buy 2, which is great. We use stainless and glass straws all of the time now. They are so healthy to drink out of. No chemical worries with these stainless straws. They even have the comfortable bend built into them like regular straws. In this set you get 8 stainless steel straws and 2 straw cleaning brushes. The straws are a breeze to clean with these brushes. I store mine in my dish drainer, so they are always there. These are 9 inch straws and have a 5mm opening. They fit in my Mason Jar glasses perfectly. These straws can go into the dishwasher. I only hand wash though, lol. They arrive in 2 individually wrapped packages of 4 with 1 cleaning brush each. I love that these are eco-friendly, and we are not contributing to the landfill every day. Plastic straws leach chemicals both into you and the landfill. These are made out of thick stainless steel as well. They are not bendy in the least. I also do not have any issues with the straws changing the flavor of my drinks. They are comfortable on the lips as well. You can drink almost anything out of these. Thick milkshakes or smoothies, may not be your best bet though. My whole family made the conversion right away. I have never had any complaints. This is a great set from iZeeker.
