Time to get spooky. – YoungKer’s Vbiger Scary Halloween Skeleton.

Halloween is my favorite holiday. It is so much fun, and it’s for all ages. When you think of Halloween, you think of skeletons. My son had to have one last year, and it was a hard plastic. He immediately broke one of the joints, so now it’s a one-armed skeleton, lol. So, I am really liking this one. It is so much more durable, and house friendly. It is soft to the touch, and it is made out of plastic foam, but feels like a thick foam. If you put your face close to it, you can smell it at first. It’s shipped in a cellophane wrapper. It did air out. The smell wasn’t strong enough to make me sick with my insane allergies, so I have no concern over it. All foam has an odor to it. The design looks just like it’s pictured. One of the eyes has a smidgen of red just outside of the eye socket. That might make someone with OCD nuts, lol. A white out pen, or sharpie marker can correct that if it bothered you. It doesn’t bother me at all. Mine measured out at 25 inches long, and 9 inches wide, at the widest point. Fortunately, it has a loop attached to it, so it’s a breeze to hang up. Since it is soft, it won’t scratch up your walls or doors, if your kid plays with it, like mine. So, I am loving that feature. The cord is attached to the top of the head, and is 5 ½” long. It can be used both indoors and outdoors. I love the red color in the eye sockets. It gives it a lot of depth and interest. You can add it to a collage of other spooky decorations, or let it hang alone. You can add flashing lights, or colored LEDs, to make it look spookier. Just be creative and have a lot of fun. It’s an easy going, foam skeleton, enjoy.

It’s Space time! – Treepenguin’s Space Exploration Wall Decals.

Years ago, when my older kids were younger, and they wanted to personalize their rooms, that involved wallpaper borders and paint, lol. So, with my youngest, I am loving the new wall decals out on the market now. This set from Treepenguin, on Amazon, is a lot of fun. It is their Space exploration set, and it consists of the nine planets, the sun, stars, spaceships, comets, steroids, and a satellite. I love that the planets are labeled, so you can set them up in an educational manner for your kids. All the pieces do not have to be used either. If your kids are a little older, you do not need to put the spaceships up. Since these are easy decals, you can remove the spaceships as they get older to. These are made out of pre-cut vinyl. It is just peel and stick; so easy. They key is to apply these to clean, smooth surface. I do not have bumpy drywall, so I did not test these on that type of surface. I have regular flat drywall, and these work great on that, glass, mirror, and refrigerator surfaces. The key is to wipe clean the area first. Even your walls. You want to make sure there is no fingerprint, grease or dust residue on the surface. Otherwise, these won’t stick well. I placed a few in our bathroom to test how they did with humidity, and they do great. They have not started to peel off at all. The great thing about them is you can change your mind at any time. They do not cost a lot, and they will not mar your surfaces. These are a no brainer to apply as well. You can lift it up over and over until you get it placed where you need to. Included with this set is even a fun fact sheet about the planets, asteroids, comets, and stars. You can actually educate your child without even knowing that’s what you are up to, lol. It’s a parenting win! The planet vinyls range in size from 3” to 13”. Pluto being the smallest, and Saturn being the largest. So, these are not too big or too small. I am very pleased with this set overall, and really have no complaints.

Stays put, and quite comfy to stand on. – Chef’s Design Memory Foam Kitchen Mat.

We have always had a kitchen rug, ever since I can remember. It just seems like the thing to do. I wash all my dishes by hand, so I appreciate a comfy rug to stand on. This one from Chef’s Design on Amazon is pretty comfortable, too. I ordered mine in the Espresso, coffee theme, but they do have five other themes to choose from. This rug is a standard size for a kitchen rug. It measures 18” wide by 28” long. It’s a great size to place in front of your sink area. It’s also great to have a rug there, in case you spill some water while cleaning. Then your tile floors won’t be as slippery. Hopefully, keeping you from falling. This is a memory foam mat. It’s not extra thick or cushy, like some are. It definitely helps with keeping leg fatigue at bay with a lot of standing though. The underside is coated with nonskid dots, and they really work. I even tried jumping and sliding on it. It did not budge. My husband looked at me like I was crazy, lol, but I did this more than once. It doesn’t look like enough nonskid elements, but it sure is enough! My mat arrived folded up, but it unfolded quickly, and the crease lines disappeared almost completely in about 30 minutes. By the next day, you shouldn’t see any more creases. All of the stitching was done tight and on point. And, there was no odor to my new mat upon arrival either. The topside is a woven material, almost like you see on upholstery and pillows. In other words, it’s a pretty durable material. Yes, this is machine washable. I personally wouldn’t put it into a machine with a large agitator. The newer machines that really don’t have a tall agitator should be fine though. Then just tumble dry on low, or air dry. My rug looks just like it’s shown on their ad page. The colors weren’t different in person. If you have a narrow galley kitchen, then this may not be the carpet for you. It is not flat, and if you are a feet scooter, lol, you may trip on it. If you have a more open area in your kitchen, then this should be of no concern. Overall, I have no complaints with this kitchen rug. I like the design, quality, and how it stays put. It is comfortable to stand on, and my feet are much happier for it.
