This baby is so, so simple to use. I immediately washed it off, and made my mom, who is 70, a cup of hot coffee. She is a coffee addict. That is pretty much what she drinks all day; iced coffee and coffee, lol. She is quite picky too. If it can pass her test, then it’s good. I used her coffee grounds in the drip cone for the initial test. You need to heat up your water before using the cone. So for this initial test, I did the microwave. I put the drip cone and stand on top of her tall Starbucks flamingo to go cup. It does sit securely on top of this narrow, tall mug. I placed the coffee grounds in the cone, and then poured the hot water over it. It filters through very fast at first, and then as the coffee gets wet, and thus thick, it slows down to a drip. The entire process only takes a few minutes. My mom raved about her cup of coffee. She states she loves this thing. I wasn’t expecting rave reviews from her, but she had them. She had no grounds in her coffee and said it tasted like a fresh brewed cup of coffee. This item is sturdy, and made well. It is made out of stainless steel, which is easy to take care of, durable, and doesn’t affect the flavor of your coffee. It is so portable too. If you are at work and can heat you water in a microwave, you can brew yourself a fresh cup of coffee whenever you want, and at your desk nonetheless. My husband likes to grind his own coffee beans. He travels a lot with work, so this is also a product that will be perfect for him. I am very comfortable recommending this product.

This set up is really easy to figure out. I set it up and used it, and then looked over the included directions, lol. I always want to check out how user friendly an item is, so I always do this. I am not new to manual coffee grinders. We have both, but my husband uses a manual at work when he is away. He prefers a manual grinder. I have to say, this is my favorite grinder for coffee beans, out of all the ones I have used. This one has a ceramic burr. You need to remember to only ever turn it clockwise, so you do not damage it. I have other manual grinders, and I do have to say, only use one with a ceramic burr. They last longer and do a fantastic job grinding coffee beans. You can change the grinding size. I liked it where it came, so I did leave it as is. It explains how to do it in the instruction pamphlet though. One of the two sleeves it comes with, you attach with the grinding handle to keep the beans from popping out while in use. The other one wraps underneath the glass jar to keep it from sliding around. I held the jar while grinding the beans, so I didn’t use it, and haven’t to be honest. I love, love, love the look of this coffee grinder. It screams coffee to me, lol. The inclusion of a separate lid for the glass jar is genius. I love being able to store my coffee grounds in this jar. You can grind up a batch and then be set for a large family, or for yourself for a few days. You can grind it up and take it with you to work, etc.. Storing your grounds in glass is better than plastic. The jar is gorgeous too This set is well made, and performs flawlessly. It’s officially my number one grinder for coffee now. It is not hard to grind either. I am very comfortable recommending this product.

Stimulate your mind with Kangaroo’s Folding Wooden Chess Set.

Chess is a mentally stimulating game. It’s a game that parent and child can play together. It can be played for fun, up to competition level. It’s a game that spans the nations. Religion, race, and gender means nothing. People all around the world compete together, in the game of chess. I find it fascinating that people even play long distance games via email, and mail.

I really like this set. I love that it is made out of wood, and has the presence higher than that of a game board type set. This can be left out proudly. This set is made out of pine. There is no metal clasp that would scratch your table when it’s open. This unit closes via a magnetic clasp. When opened, it lies flat on your table. It measures out at approx.. 15.7 inches x 15.7 inches. The pieces are all the traditional shapes. The inside of the chess board is lined with a brown felt, and there are elastic straps to secure your pieces with. Each piece gets strapped in individually. I am really happy with the overall construction of this set. The only negatives I could find with this set are that the edges on the inside of the case are a little rough. I also think I need to oil the case down on the outside to preserve the wood. It feels a little dry to me. There is a decorative border around the sides of the case. These are lines that have been cut in. One line still had a piece of the wood partially in it. I just scraped it out with my nail, and it popped right out. Also included with this set is a simple sheet of instructions. You can probably print out directions in bigger print, that would be easier to follow, lol. The print is really small, but everything is online nowadays. Each wood chess piece has a felt lining underneath. The pieces were well done, and nice to hold and use. I really like this chess set. I can see it getting years of use. It’s really nice overall.

Get sharpening with BtSky’s Battery Operated and USB-powered Electric Pencil Sharpener.

I homeschool my son, and can never find our pencil sharpener, lol. It is so aggravating. It’s something you end up taking for granted, and not thinking about, as you get older. I am pretty happy with this pencil sharpener overall. It sharpens very well, and they even include a spare core. This pencil sharpener can also run off of either 4 AA batteries or USB power. It does not hold a charge, though. You need to have it plugged in while in use. You could use an USB adapter, and leave it plugged in. The built in safety feature is also it’s one negative, that I could find. When you pull out the pencil shaving tray, it will not work. So, you couldn’t accidently hurt yourself with the sharpener. The negative part is, the tray is soooooooooo hard to remove. I had to get a jar gripper to help myself pull it open. At one point, I had to get my 21 year old son to open it. He is really strong too, and used the gripper as well. He laughed at it. The tray doesn’t have to be emptied all the time, fortunately, so I will continue to use this. I am assuming that it will loosen over time. The tray is transparent, so you can see when it needs to be emptied. You need to open it over a container, it is an open tray inside of it, and it will spill everywhere when opened. This unit is small and portable. It fits easily in a drawer as well. It sharpens both pencils and colored pencils perfectly, and to a nice, sharp point. The housing was done in a black and white plastic. It is pretty durable, and constructed well. On the underside you will find 1 long footing, and 2 small ones. These are non-slip feet, to help keep your sharpener in place while sharpening. These also work well. Overall, not too shabby.

Every girl loves her jewelry. It doesn’t matter what the age either. I am really happy with the jewelry from Elequeen, sold on Amazon. I find their jewelry to be both beautiful and well made. The quality is fantastic as well. They have all styles too. You can buy bold, night on the town jewelry, to ever day casual jewelry. They do everything in house, including the sterling silver. This is what keeps their prices down.

The 925 Sterling Silver used in this bracelet and necklace are SGS certified, and Rhodium plated. The Rhodium plating helps this jewelry keep their high polished shine longer. It helps the jewelry to not tarnish nearly as much. I had a jewelry store explain it to me one day. They Rhodium plate expensive wedding and engagement rings.

This necklace from Elequeen is their 925 Sterling Silver Cubic Zirconia Moon and Heart Bridal Pendant Necklace, 15.4″+1.4″ Extender. It is simple, and understated. The heart is a little tilted in the moon, and it is encrusted with Cubic Zirconia. All my stones were well set. It’s a really sweet necklace, and truly can be worn with anything. The clasp is a traditional circular spring clasp. Mine was done well, and my necklace sits very securely on. I did notice that the way they threaded the chain through the pendant, keeps the pendant in place. It doesn’t flop over or slide on you.

The bracelet, even though sold separately, really compliments this necklace. That is why I placed them together in one blog. It has a traditional look to it with the silver beads. That style has been around forever, a classic. The chain is a simple box link, and really reflects the light. It is so pretty. There are little silver beads and 2 small sterling silver hearts on this bracelet. They flank they 1 dangling puffy sterling silver heart pendant. It’s such a pretty bracelet on. They titled this bracelet their 925 Sterling Silver Love Heart of Ocean Titanic Inspired Bead Charm Bracelet Chain. It also closes with a circular spring clasp, and was easy to put on and off by myself. There are stopper beads, so the decoration does not slide all over the bracelet when you wear it. The length of this bracelet is 6.6 inches and it has a 1.2 inch extender on it. The extender has a tiny heart on the end of it, as does the necklace. I think that is such a sweet touch. It lies very nicely on the wrist.

Virtual reality comes alive with KREN’s 3D IMAX VR Virtual Reality Headset Glasses.

We live in an electronic age, and for the most part it’s a lot of fun. When I was a child, we had a tiny black and white TV, and had to use a wrench to change the channels, lol. Kids today have no clue how far our electronics have advanced. I am getting a kick out of virtual reality glasses. They are a lot of fun. We are not new to them, but I was so pleased to review these Kren 3D Imax VR glasses. They are quite comfortable on , and well made. They even include a remote with this set. Unfortunately, for me, the remote was finicky. It hooked up with Bluetooth immediately as PL-608. They include an instruction booklet too, to let you know how to use the keys and joystick. You can use this as a shutter control, and as a remote. There is a switch on the underside to choose your mode. I could get it to connect and could go through the pages on my screen. No matter what I did would let me choose a selection. I have the Galaxy Note 5.

Now, as far as the VR headset, I love it. The visual is crystal clear. My large Note 5 phone fit in this unit perfectly. To open the front of the unit to insert your phone, the finger holds are on the side. Just pull, and it pops open. Inside, you will find a thick foam pad which helps to hold your firmly in place while you are looking around, moving your head. This headset also has a dial on the side and the top of the unit for you to adjust the lenses, to get the right view for you. I did not have to adjust it, or did my son. The head strap is fully adjustable with Velcro. It’s easy to adjust it so you have a great fit. The straps are soft on your head as well. The back pad is made out of a vinyl, so it too is soft on your head. You will need to download an app to use this. I have downloaded from the Google Playstore the VaR’s VR Video Player app. It works perfectly for me and has never crashed on me. After you download the app, you need to download individual VR apps, like the Aquarium app, the Jurassic App, Rollercoaster app, and more. Now, just turn on the particular app you want to watch, start it, and put it into this headset. That’s it. Now, it takes a minute for your eyes to fully adjust. They might adjust right away, and they may never adjust. My 21 year old son had a head injury as a child, and his eyes won’t adjust. He always sees a black bar in the middle, and he does not enjoy them. The rest of us really enjoy it. This headset can fit phones from 4 – 6 inches. Now, I wear contacts and have a complex prescription, lol. Since you can adjust the lenses. they state this for people who wear glasses for myopia: “FD and PD Adjustment Function- can directly adjust inter-pupillary distance and focal distance, and use the equipment free of wearing glasses for the myopia.” This relates to the tow dials I mentioned previously.

Have fun with the glasses on. You may need to stand up, and turn in a full circle while wearing these. It’s funny to watch people and how they react. This is a well made set of VR glasses. They are comfortable to wear as well. I am very comfortable recommending these.

Balls, balls, balls. They are everywhere at my house. We are officially Emoji Central here, lol. Emoji’s are so popular right now too. Both my 21 year old and 8 year old enjoy them. I have noticed that emoji’s have no age limit. They’re part of our culture right now. I’m thrilled that they are at least cheery to look at. They are safe enough to be played with in home. Which is great, because we all tend to get hit in the face, and or items around the house too. This is a set of 12, and they are 12″ in diameter. The have the usual pull out valve to blow up. These are just like the traditional striped beach ball, but with an emoji instead. You will get a random mix of emoji’s in your package. They are clean cut, silly and fun. Great for the whole family. Since you get a pack of 12, these would be great for goody bags, party favors, Easter baskets, pool party, and more. You can hang them up with fishing line for a fun party decoration. I so have not blown them all up! I surely do not have enough room in my house for that. The ones we do have inflated have been put through the Austin test. Easter is almost here. It’s so early this year too. Even though I know it’s coming, I feel like it’s sneaking up on me as well, lol. Time to prepare, and time to gather baskets. This set of 3 are made out of plastic. I like the basket weave design on them. The handles move freely, and they are the snap on type. You can remove them if you wanted to. I like that they arrive in 3 different colors. The colors are pink, yellow, and orange. They are vibrant and cheery. These are great for families with multiple kids, Easter egg hunts, coworker gifts, neighbor gifts, and more. If you have older kids, these are also a great option. After Easter is over, they can either paint, or attach ribbon around the rim of the basket, to cover up the Easter design. Then they can place their hair care products, like hair spray, gel, hair brush, etc.. in it. You can also store hair ribbons, beaded bracelets, and the like in these. These baskets are light weight, and easy to wash off. So, they are perfect for traveling to Grandmas, and for Easter egg hunts. Right now mine have become part of the Easter decor. So healthy for you skin. – Foxbrim’s 100% Pure Organic Castor Oil.

I love to make my own products. I have been using organic Castor Oil in my homemade shampoo and lotion for a couple years now. So, I was thrilled to be able to test out Foxbrim’s Organic Castor Oil. It may only be a 4oz bottle, but it is chemical, and hexane free. I love organic products, because you have no chemical worries to deal with. Castor oil has so many wonderful qualities. It has antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory qualities. It helps to promote both Elastin and Collagen production as well. It is just a dream beauty product for both skin and hair. You can use it on your hair, skin, lips, cracked heals, sunburn, dandruff, under eyes, eyebrows, and eye lashes. It has a bad rap for only being used for constipation, lol. This product has little scent to it. It is so faint, and only has a light and natural scent. It works beautifully in my homemade products. This particular oil has a thick consistency, but does get absorbed nicely into the skin. It cuts well with other oils. It mixes nicely with coconut oil, and avocado oil, as well as grapeseed and more. A 1 to 1 mixture is great with coconut oil, and it’s great to rub on sunburn that way. It’s also great to just use as is. You can rub it directly on your lips like a lip gloss. It is sheer conditioner for them. This is a beautiful, natural product. I am very comfortable recommending it.
