I am so happy that I was afforded the opportunity to review MIREN’s Compact LED Penlight Tactical Pen Outdoor Self-defense Equipment Business Office Pen Portable, at a reduced cost, in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. This product arrives as shown. In your package you will get 1 pen, 3 extra button batteries, 1 ink refill, and 1 tag.
I love, love, love this pen. We all have regular Smith and Wesson tactical pens in my family. This is my first tactical pen with a flashlight built in though. I love it. The set is great, and the price point is awesome. I am so happy that it comes with both a pen refill, and a battery refill too. My flashlight was quite easy to turn on immediately. I read a lot of reviews stating that it was hard to turn the light on. I’ve had no issues at all. Approx. 1 7/16ths of an inch down from the top of the pen, you will see a space/line. Hold below this point, and turn the top part to the left. As you turn it tight, the light goes on. Turn it a little to the right, and the light turns off. That’s all you have to do. This pen has a great pocket clip too. It’s a great size, and pretty tight. It doesn’t come loose, and hold’s pretty firm. This pen’s casing is solid. It is made out of aviation grade aluminum. The pen cap is the screw on type. The threading was done well. I’ve had no issues at all with it. Since the Tungsten tip was built into the pen’s cap, you don’t have to worry about it popping off while using it in an emergency. You can use this pen to defend your self, or to break your cars window, if you get trapped in an accident. Since the Tungsten tip is on the bottom of the pen, it is a natural movement to grab it out of your pocket, and defend yourself with it. The bulb is an LED. It can stay lit up to 10 hours on a fresh set of batteries. LEDs are definitely more durable than regular lighting, and can be jostled, and take more of a beating. As a pen goes, it writes with black ink. It has a fine tip writing style to it. It started right away, and writes smoothly. It is actually very comfortable in hand, and affords a solid grip. It has flat areas, as well as the built in pocket clip, so it won’t roll off of the table on you. I wish the company stated the lumen count on it. I’ve has many pen lights in my past as a nurse. It would function well in this job also. I am really very happy with this product, and I feel comfortable recommending it.
