Adore Box: A monthly beauty & lifestyle box subscription.
As a mom, I rarely ever do anything for myself. I even get a monthly box subscription already, but it’s for my son, lol. I homeschool him, so he never gets out to participate in things like other kids do. So, I bring things to him this way. I love, love, love, that there is a monthly box, that is highly affordable, for women. At $15 dollars, a month, it is doable for most families. If you do buy yourselves things during the month, then this box may actually be more budget friendly for you, than picking things up here and there.
The Adore Box gets shipped out on the 25th of the month, and is billed on the 1st of the month. Each box will contain anywhere from 4 – 10 items, ranging from sample size to full size product. The items to be included can be anything from these categories: “Makeup, Hair Care, Skin Care, Jewelry, Edibles (We are talking chocolate here…), Accessories, and/or Housewares.” I giggled so hard when I read their edibles comment, the first time. I really like the broad variety of items that you can receive in this monthly box subscription. That is a large variety of product you’ll get to experience.
This was my very first Adore Box. Do not take the term box literally, like I did. It arrived in a padded envelope for me, and had to do a double take to see what had arrived. In my package, I received:
1 Sweet Spark Gift Certificate for $25.00
1 Cherimoya Waterproof Eye/Lip Pencil w/attached Sharpener, Full size (value $9.99)
1 Kiss imPRESS Press-On Manicure, Full size (value $7.99)
1 Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish, Full size (value $18.00)
1 Lip Glow Gloss Balm, Full size (value $3.99)
Bonus Item – Kiss Coupon for $1.00 off any impress Gel Manicure and $1.00 off any kiss Lashes or Kiss Lash Glue. I also received a 20% off coupon from Divineandsexy.us in my box.
They even state that if you do not like a product you received, that you can go to edivv.com and trade with someone else. I went and checked out the website, and it was made for people who have subscription boxes, and lets them trade what they do not need; so cool.
The Sweet and Spark gift card is actually worth the full $25.00 with no minimum purchase required. The store however, is pricey. I haven’t ordered anything yet. They do have a sale section, so I will be keeping my eye on that.
I absolutely love the nail polish from Trust Fund. I have and wear nail polish that is Non-Toxic and & Free. It is so healthy for you, and is really the only type of nail polish I feel comfortable wearing now. It is completely free of: Toluene, Formaldehyde, Lead, Nickel, Phthalates, and other commonly used toxic materials. This nail polish is also a Vegan friendly nail polish and cruelty free. I applied 2 coats, and it dried very quickly. I love that, since I literally have 0 patience when it comes to my nails drying. I notoriously have to go to the ladies’ room after doing my nails, lol. The color reminds me of Tiffany Blue, so it’s a win, win for me!
The Lip Balm is a pretty shade of pink. It really smells good too. I love the scent of it. The ingredients are legible, and there are a lot of natural oils in it. It however had Shea Butter in it, so I cannot wear it. My mom lucked out though, because she is not allergic. You are never too old to be fabulous, so she is now the proud owner of the soft, and wonderful Lip Glow Gloss Balm. I’m jealous, lol.
I have never personally worn press on nails. The kit has everything needed, and solid instructions to follow. I love that the set has two jeweled bows to apply to your nails as well. I am really looking forward to trying those after my venture into the pretty blue nail polish that came in this box.
The eyeliner by Cherimoya is really wonderful. It only requires a soft touch to apply, which is very comfortable on your eyelids. I have used eyeliner sticks before, where you actually had to press down to apply; never again. They state it is waterproof, but with a remover, or just a faint bit of all natural soap and water, which is what I did, it came right off for me. I love how the sharpener is built into the cap. Otherwise, I always lose the sharpener. I am famous for that. The coverage is great with only one go over. You do not need to repeat to get a full cover.
I am highly impressed with the quality of the products in my Adore box. I really did not know what to expect since this was my first box like this, ever. It was actually a big relief for me. I was worried about it, to be honest. It delivered products I normally do not see at y local stores. I rarely go to the large makeup stores, since I always have my son in tow. There are too many cosmetics in those places for me to look at anyway, and I always seem a little overwhelmed. This is really a refreshing way to experience other brands and items you may not normally see and find on your own, and in a much more affordable way. I am absolutely thrilled by my first Adore Box!
