Most of my family lives across different states. I am the present shopper, recycled giver, and packaging czar in my household. I am 5’3″ and when I am packaging larger boxes, watching my juggle with tape, a large box, and a pair of scissors, can be quite entertaining. I was thrilled to be afforded the opportunity to review As Seen On TV’s Dispenserless Tape in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
It tells you right on the front of the roll of tape, that the roll is 55 yards long, 2″ wide and 3 mils thick. There are faint black dots all throughout the roll. These dots mark the segments. The segments are 12″ long. This means that every 12″ you can tear the tape by hand quite easily. It’s pretty much a jump for joy occasion. I cannot tell you how many times I have cut my hand open either on a pair of scissors or on the teeth side of the dispenser.
My mom, who has arthritis in her hands, and is on the weaker side, can tear this tape. This is a godsend for people with arthritis or other disabilities. My seven year old can even tear this tape. He can also wrap himself in this tape, so we will be watching him with it, lol.
When the package arrived, there was a scent from the bag. It’s just an adhesive smell that quickly fades after removing it from the shipping bag. I have asthma, and it didn’t affect me. This literally is the only negative I could find with this dispenserless tape. And that’s reaching for a negative. This tape is awesome. I honestly don’t think I can go back to the regular packing tape now. No more cut hands for this gal. I most definitely recommend this Dispenserless tape.
