These gloves arrive with batteries included. In each glove you will see a plastic tab coming out of the opening of the glove. You need to remove these tabs. They are inserted into the battery compartment, and they are what keep the batteries from getting worn out in shipment. The hard plastic case goes on top of the hand. You will feel a button off to the side of the case, through the glove. Press on it. This will turn the glove on. I had one button that was finicky the first time I pressed it. I opened up the little Velcroed pocket, and pressed the button that way, and then it started working right. These gloves have six modes. They flash all colors, or roll through all of the colors. There is also a solid on of all colors, or the flashing of the three colors individually. You have to go through all 6 modes, before being able to turn them off. They are pretty fun, and comfortable to wear. My 8 year old loves them!. They definitely make you visible when it’s dark out, that’s for sure. They obviously fit my hands better than my sons. They were made for adults. I also had a lot of room left over, so they would fit a man’s hands, of a regular size. The gloves are silent, and they do not heat up where the LEDs are. LEDs are long lasting, and energy efficient. I love that they make the battery compartment accessible, and the batteries are replaceable. These would be fun for parties, ice skating, outdoor activities, and more. We are having a lot of fun with our gloves, and I am very comfortable recommending them.
