So much power in something so tiny. – GP-Tech’s NextX 2.4G 4CH 6Axis LED Gyro RC Quadcopter.

Standard

This is so cute. We love our remote controlled drones in our house. We have a few, lol. We didn’t have one this tiny, though. I am just thrilled that I was afforded the opportunity to review GP-Tech’s NextX 2.4G 4CH 6Axis LED Gyro RC Quadcopter Helicopter, in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. This product arrives as shown. In your package you will get 1 charger, 1 quadcopter, 1 remote control, 1 set of spare blades, and 1 instruction sheet. The remote requires 2 AAA batteries. They are not included. No screwdriver was needed to access the battery compartment.
It takes about 30 min. to fully charge the quadcopter. And with that charge you get approx. 5 to 7 minutes of flight time. This is typical of RC vehicles like this. The smaller it is, the less flight time. The bigger ones really don’t get too much more. The battery is part of the copter. There’s no getting additional batteries to charge. The upside to this is that your kids can’t pester you for too long, lol. My son likes to fly things at me, and by me, I mean my head. The copter itself has a very durable feel for something so small. The remote, wasn’t made as well. But, it works perfectly. This is suggested for older kids, 14+. It’s not the easiest quadcopter too control, lol. It takes some practice, like they all do. If you are new. I suggest practicing over the bed at first. The LED lights are perfect. I love LED lighting. It makes things like this, so much more fun. Because of the size, it’s not highly recommended for outdoor flying. The wind can and does, easily throw it around. This is a 2.4ghz and 6 axis quadcopter, which is pretty good for something so small. This really helps you to maneuver it well. Once you get the hang of it of course. I’m really good at up and down, and straight forward, lol. They say you can control it up to 35m away which is 114 feet. I don’t have that much space in my home, and there is always wind going outside to test it even remotely at that distance. It has a headless mode, which means it locks into the take off mode when powered on. I’m not fond of that, since I’m not that perfect at flying it yet, lol. I may end up having it go in my face. This is not mandatory to do. It supports the hand toss flying. My husband and son love doing that. This little quadcopter packs a lot of power. You can hear that little engine roar when on. To pair with the copter, first turn the drone on. The switch is directly under the charging port. Do this in a quick succession. Then quickly turn the controller on. The controller will make a beeping sound. Then push the left lever all the way forward, and then slowly back to the middle. It will connect, and the lights will stop flashing on the drone, and will be solid on. Sometimes it can take a couple times. That’s normal with all. The remote and quadcopter worked perfectly for me. I am so happy with it. It actually beat my expectations for it. I was expecting typical kid quality with this copter. That’s probably why I am so impressed. You can’t beat it for the price. You can use rechargeable batteries in this remote to the drone. I am very happy with this product. I am comfortable recommending it.
