Wow, this is fabulous. I haven’t put a tens unit on myself before now. I have had patients use them, back in my nursing days. My mom and I did test this baby out, even though the pads are really supposed to be for just one person, lol. Needless to say, I was quite excited to be afforded the opportunity to review Easy Home’s Tens Unit – Handheld Electronic Pulse Massager Unit, in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. This unit is FDA and OTC approved. This unit comes with the main control unit, 2 sets of wires, 4 AAA batteries, an instruction booklet, and 4 electrode pads. Please, please, please read the instruction book fully before using it. This does send electrical impulses into your body. It’s fantastic, but needs to be taken seriously as a medical treatment.
This unit stimulates and tricks your body, by blocking the nerve path, by sending electric impulse into the chosen tissue area. It also stimulates the body into releasing endorphins. This is a body’s natural pain killer. Instead of always reaching for pain killers, which aren’t safe to take, you can use this 10- 15 minutes at a time. My mom has a chronic shoulder ailment. She had a cortisone shot about three months ago now, and her shoulder is really hurting her again. With her high blood pressure, she really can’t take any pain meds. I tried this on her. She had never used one before. We started on a setting of 2 for power intensity. The instruction pamphlet goes over specific areas you can place electrodes. I emulated the shoulder set up that they had posted in the book. I tested it on myself first, to see if should could take it. She has no implanted medical devices, but her heart isn’t the greatest. I placed it on the soles of my feet, and tried it there. Wow, I started it on 5, and was blown away by how intense that was, lol. I highly suggest you start at the lowest setting at first, and see how your body tolerates it. If you have a medical condition, like a poor heart, I would monitor your pulse and or BP before and after. It would be interesting to see. My mom used it on her shoulder, at level 2, for 15 minutes, and did great! She is really liking this, and was excited she didn’t have to leave her home for any treatment. The sensation is varied through the treatment. There was a steady trickle, varied with a pulsating sensation. The pulsating is pretty intense as you move the strength upwards. This is a treatment meant to be done when you are sitting and relaxing only. It’s portable, and you can use it anywhere, but not while driving, near water, overly sweaty, and the like. Every person is going to see their own results. This is definitely a well working machine. It’s easy to set up and use, and the price point is great. This is definitely a great new addition to our home.
