I have never heard of a body brush before. This was a completely new experience. I absolutely love Sublime Beauty products, so I was very happy to try out their new Portable Skin Brush in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. This brush arrives with it’s own storage bag. It is very well made, and was fun to try out. It gained me a little extra alone time in the morning while I was getting ready for the day. That right there made it a winner for me. This was even featured in Glamour Magazine.
This brush reminds me of a man’s brush. The base is solid wood, There is then a plastic layer where the bristles are attached. The attached cloth handle is snaked under this plate. The bristles are natural bristles. They don’t state what they are, but they are thick and stiff bristles, They feel really good against your skin. I wasn’t sure when I first felt the brush if I would like it. I decided to start on my legs, and it felt like a great massage. I was quite relieved. The benefits of skin brushing, is identical really to the benefits of massage. It stimulates increased circulation and your lymphatic system, which is very healthy for all areas involved. While brushing, you’re exfoliating and stimulating new cell production. You are ridding your body of dirt and bacteria build up in your pores. It’s amazing because even after you shower, you can still have a lovely build up in your pores. You want to brush an area for a few minutes before moving on to the next. You can have your spouse or partner get your back at night, wink, wink. The oval shape of the brush is very easy to hold onto too. You’ll maintain a great grip because the soft cloth handle gives you leverage while pressed against the top of your hand. Don’t forget to clean your brush by hand with some soap and water, and let air dry. With it’s included storage bag, you have a nice clean place to store it. It is also so easy to travel with this way. Just throw it into your suitcase and go. This is a beauty item the TSA hasn’t banned yet from being brought onto a plane.
You should definitely start to notice a difference in our skin. It will start to look healthier, and have more of a natural glow. You should start to feel like you have more energy and feel more relaxed. Like I said, just like having a massage. And if your kids won’t leave you alone, hand them the brush and let them brush you. They’ll get a kick out of it for a bit. When it’s no longer fun for them, they’ll leave you alone to do it for yourself. This is definitely worth a try. It feels great.
