I use a lot of ice, and daily too. I have frequent anaphylactic reactions, which ends up with a continuous sore throat. I am constantly sipping ice cold drinks. And drinks only get ice cold, with ice. I have to say, getting this ice maker to my house was an ordeal. UPS dropped it at the post office for delivery to my home. The first day I received a notice they couldn’t deliver it. I thought it was because I wasn’t home. So, I went online and set up a redelivery. The next day I received a notice that it was too heavy to deliver. Lol, too heavy. It’s a counter top ice maker. So, finally got to go and pick it up myself. This ice maker arrives very well packaged. The product box was wrapped up inside of 2 very thick boxes. I actually removed the ice machine box from the other two boxes at the post office, and brought I home. Low and behold, I cold carry it myself, lol. All 5’3″ of me. But let me tell you, this ice machine was more than worth all the effort to get it home.

When you first get your ice machine, take everything out, clean out the area you want to put it, and place it there. It has to set a couple hours before you can turn it on. It also has to be level. You can adjust the feet if need be. I didn’t need to do any adjusting. The entire machine is coated in that blue peel off film. So remove all of that, and remove the tape and items from inside of the fridge. Now, you will need to clean both the interior and exterior before using it. I used an all natural and non toxic cleaner to do that. And I washed the scoop and ice bucket in my sink. You can put up to 4.5 liters of water in the reservoir. After you do that, put the ice basket back in. Now, turn the machine on, and choose your ice level. The first round took closer to 13 minutes to hear anything drop into the basket. You’ll hear the machine suck the water up, and start to hum like a regular ice maker. The very first batch of ice was tiny, and then is started to make what is their medium ice. And after it got started, it averaged about every 9 minutes to make a batch of the medium ice.  You can choose from three sizes: small, medium and large. The operations panel is on the front of the ice maker. There is a power button, your ice size selections buttons, and your add water warning light here. It will beep and let you know when you need to add water. The drain plug is located on the left side of the unit. Make sure it’s in all the way before making ice. When you are not using it, make sure you have drained all of the water out from the last time. Otherwise, you might have mold build up in it. And that would not be good! This is a stainless steel unit. It did not get hot to the touch at all. It remained cool to the touch. The sides, by the motor, only got slightly less cooler, that’s it. When you set it up, make sure you leave 8 inches of space all around the unit, for ventilation. It needs a 3 prong outlet to operate. It can actually make 48lbs of ice daily, but you have to add the water regularly during the 24 hour period, lol. I wasn’t doing that. It is fairly quiet. I was expecting it to be louder. The loudest it is, is when you power it up and first fill it with water. Then it becomes like the ice maker in your refrigerator. The entire process, minus the post office, has been perfect. I really like this unit. It is 16 inches tall, 14 inches wide and 17 inches deep. So, the size is amazing. I love it. I really do love everything about it. It is so easy to use, and take care of. With it’s size, it can be portable for family functions, and parties. Or vacation away from home. I am very comfortable recommending this product.
