My family and I are hooked on our electronics. I think most people are nowadays. Every member of my family has a tablet, including my older mom, lol. But, in my home, we only have Android based tablets at the moment. I have never personally used a Windows based tablet before. Needless to say, I am thrilled that I was afforded the opportunity to review iDeaUSA’s CT8 8″ Intel Windows Tablet PC, Quad Core, Windows 8.1 OS, in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. This product arrives as shown. In your package you will get 1 Micro USB AC charging cord, 1 tablet, 1 Users Manual, 1 USB connection cable, and 1 warranty card. It comes with a 1 year warranty.
When my tablet arrived I went through the box, and then plugged the tablet in to charge. Big hint, I learned the hard way, treat this like my expensive Samsung tablet, lol. It has a lot to run, so if you aren’t using it, power it off, lol. Every time I went to use it, I had to charge it again. For the first month I owned my Samsung Tablet, I could never use it. This applies to this Windows Tablet. It has great applications running, and that uses the power. Once I remembered this, lol, we were off and running. Besides myself, I also had my older son use this tablet for a while. Lol, he liked it so much, he set up a password, and then I couldn’t get into it. Yes, he is an adult, lol. Needless to say, we have been using this tablet a lot. If you like windows, you will like this tablet. When you first turn it on, it will take you through the registration process, just like a computer with Windows. This has the 8.1 version on it. It also has an Intel Quad Core Processor, 1GB of Ram, 16GB ROM, and can support up to a 32GB Micro SD card. I highly suggest you insert a memory card.
It is great being able to utilize a windows tablet at this price point. I mean really, wow. If you have to write up documents a lot for work, but don’t want to, or can’t carry a laptop with you all the time, then this is great. It comes with a USB connection cable too. You you can connect and transfer to your computer anytime, or email yourself what you need to. Most tablets that do windows are quite expensive. Now, this one doesn’t run fast, so don’t expect it to. It runs, and it does what it’s supposed to, it’s just not a fast laptop, and you have to remind your self of that. It’s easy to operate if you are familiar with Windows 8.1. If not, then it just takes time to get used to the format. You can do games on it, but not what you are used to. You’ll have to go through Windows App store. Watching movies is also a breeze on this tablet. You can tie in your account from your laptop. Use your same email, etc.. That’s what my son did, and claimed this pad as his. It has a dual camera on it too, which is great for both work and fun. My older son is a commercial electrician, and will have to take photos, and attach them to documents. He can do that with this pad. It has a 2mp front and back camera. The screen is pretty clear, and the colors are pretty vibrant. It truly looks just like a windows screen from your computer. There is a headphone port on here also. This tablet has Wi-Fi capabilities and Bluetooth capabilities, so there is no trouble hooking up to the internet. And of course, since it’s in tablet form, it’s all touch screen. That part is always fun when dealing with Windows. The resolution is very good, it is 800*1200. It’s a great working Windows tablet. It is so neat that you can get something like this at this price point. You can’t go wrong.
