We are ruled by our electronics nowadays. Ok, it might not be that bad, but our home wiring does need to be updated to meet our modern day needs. I hate looking for adapters. That, and they tend to be bulky, and easily knocked out of the socket. It’s been more than once, where I thought my tablet or phone was charging, to find out that the adapter, had been pulled slightly out of the socket. No charging had taken place. We have other Topgreener outlets, and we love them. I was thrilled to be able to review their 24W high speed dual USB charging receptacle. It is a tamper resistant outlet as well, which is great if you have little kids.  They won’t be able to put tiny things into the outlet, shocking themselves. There are 2 high speed USB outlets as well as 1 3-prong plug, in this unit. The 2 USB ports were done well. Your USBs will have a nice, snug fit, with perfect charging. They are 4.8A total output between the 2. These ports are smart ports as well. They recognize your device, and deliver the power it needs to charge it, and nothing more. For example, an IPhone uses around 1A to charge, whereas my Note 5 likes 2A. It installs easily. You do need to provide your own wall plate. The USB modules are even replaceable. The top of the unit lifts off if you use a flat head screw driver to pry it up from the side of it. The instruction sheet that comes with this unit is really easy to understand and follow. With the wires the white is the neutral, the black is the hot, and the green is the ground. Like I said, easy to install. Lol, make sure you turn the power off before switching out your outlet. They even provide a 2 year warranty with this product.

It’s so nice to not have to use adapters. It makes for a cleaner look as well. Outlets like this one just make it better. Especially if you have a counter top area where you always charge your items. Or bedside, at each side of the bed, for the two of you to charge your phones and tablets, while you sleep. You really can’t get more convenient. With a little investment, you really do up the value of your home as well.

I am not new to Topgreener Electrical outlets. We have a few, and are quite happy with them. Not only is the company easy to work with, but their products are also well made. This particular outlet is a 24W, 15A outlet. It has 2, three prong outlets, as well as 2 USB high speed charging ports. These charging ports have a combined 4.8W output. Our outlet has been working like a charm. Since it is a go to outlet, we have it fully loaded, just like in the video, lol. It is well used, and it works like a charm. I can tell you that my son, who is a commercial electrician, installed it for me. He stated that the unit was very well made. He was impressed by it. He showed me side by side, the old, regular outlet we changed out, and the new outlet. The new outlet is much more substantial. It goes into the wall much deeper than the regular one. We did not have to modify our opening to fit it in any way, phew. The wires on the outlet are green (ground), blue (hot), and brown (neutral). The USB ports are smart ports too. It will read what your device needs, and gives it to them. My items normally need the higher power like 2 to 2.4, so these ports are perfect for us. So, you won’t have to worry about your electronics being overcharged. The USB ports compatibility is: 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0 devices. So, you could do an IPhone in one port, and a larger item in the other port. Let’s say you have a larger pad that requires 3.0A, and the IPhone charges on 1, so you’ll still be good to go. Our outlet never gets hot to the touch, even when fully loaded. We have never had it trip our breaker. It has been working wonderfully! When it arrives it has three interchangeable outlet plates: white, light almond, and black. You will, however, have to provide your own wall plate. Since my son is an electrician, he had one on his truck for me. I’m spoiled, lol. We have nothing negative to say about this product. It has been nothing but perfect for us in every aspect. It’s such an easy way to modernize your home. To top it off, if you have little kids, this unit is also tamper resistant. Your little ones won’t be able to just shove little things in it. It’s a safer plug to have around.
